Dr. Anna S. Skelo, MD

I visited her office at the scheduled time because of the Google review. I waited there for more than half an hour until enter her assistant brougt me inside. She did what exact other optometrist did to exam my eye. She made the pupil dilation for me and told me she would be back in 15 minutes. I waited nearly one hour and she still did not come until I went to look for her. She also put extra charge on me. She charged me $240 for 60 minute plus $50 for regular refractive test. Even after the insurance, I still have to pay $125. The regular insurane would not cover that $50. What made it even worse is that the prescription she made for my glass is not accurate at all. The axis value is not correct. She did not do the through exam as other optometrists do. I felt dizzy after getting an eyeglass with her prescription. I have to use the axis value by a previous optometrist to get a correct eyeglass.

Dr. Skelo is a very knowledgeable, thorough and caring doctor. She gave me every necessary test needed in order to diagnose my eye problems accurately, then provided me with a treatment plan that is actually working to relieve my symptoms. She explained every step of the way to me so I would know what was happening and why, she is a very kind doctor and you can tell she genuinely cares about her patients and their eyes. I will 100% recommend Dr. skelo to any of my family and friends needing a talented ophthalmologist!

I had the worst eye infection that I have ever seen--bloodshot eye, inflammation, swelling, etc... The optometrist I saw put me on different antibiotics and steroids for two months. They then saw a lesion in my eye (what Skelo correctly identified as scarring due to the long usage of drops). I was sent to get a blood test by my optometrists and still had no answers until I saw Dr. Skelo. She is a true professional and after months of no answers and anxiety, I was given relief. I cannot express my gratitude for Dr. Skelo. The doctors before her were well intentioned and I have nothing against them. I simply cannot understate how great Dr. Skelo is. Thank you.

I think the world of Dr. Skelo! She is very professional and thorough but is also warm and engaging! She met me one Christmas morning when I called her, in pain, identified my issue and administered medication to relieve the pain.... But to come to me on Christmas morning was above and beyond! I am very Thankful for Dr Skelo! She has the old school bedside manner that will assure you she is there for you!

Doctor Skelo has been my eye doctor for more than 4 years She spends lots of time explaining causes and treatments to me. I have been wearing glasses for over 60 years and she has been very thorough. I am a retired RN and appreciate good bedside manners. Dr. Skelo has excellent bedside manners..

I was recommended to come here by my neurologist as I have migraines every waking minute of the day only to get told by Dr.Skelo I was overweight and needed to loose weight to "fix" my problem. I have been struggling with this since I was 12. Would not recommend this place or her for that reason alone but more over their payment system is severely out dated, I can't even pay my bill online. You have to either write down your credit card number or call them and give it to them over the phone, talk about an easy way for someone to steal your information. All in all, very disappointed with this practice and certainly never go here if you aren't skinny as you will be treated and judged accordingly.

This office has the best eye doctors in Nashville. Dr. Skelo is very attentive. She is an excellent optometrist. Dr Cheij is also fantastic. Your eyes are their number one priority in this office. I recommend those who are serious about the health of their eyes should see these physicians.

If ever in search of an ophthalmologist, please take this place of practice into consideration. By far the best I've experienced in a while. Dr. Skelo, MD and staff created a welcoming environment and thorough service. Considering my urgent need for this type of practice, I definitely give the opportunity 15/10. 5 stars isn't enough. Definitely recommended for your ophthalmologic needs!
