WOW. Just....wow. This office is absolutely stunning and has such a great selection of frames. From the moment I came in for my exam, I felt welcomed and accommodated by the front office staff (nice young men Dylan and Anthony). Santi was just so sweet when he took me back for pre-testing, and Dr. James was warm and friendly. She explained the exam thoroughly and thoughtfully, and I did not feel rushed AT ALL. It was so nice to have such a caring eye doctor give such a thorough exam. When it was time to select frames, Dylan and Anthony were engaging and made a memorable buying experience! I will definitely be coming back. Thank you, Music City Optical!

Dr. James is awesome! I recently had some really bad eye pain and she not only provided immediate relief but then helped fight insurance issues with the pharmacy to get me immediate relief and healing. Great support staff as well.

Eye exam doctor was great - she was 5 stars. Ordering contacts from here was a nightmare - would put 0 stars if I could. Waited weeks for them to get delivered to our home, never arrived. Called the office and received a USPS shipment ID that never updated. Called again a few weeks later, office said that UPS (yes an entire different carrier) had it marked as delivered, asked for that shipment ID so I could file a claim with them, was put on hold, and then was given the old USPS shipment ID that never updated. Asked if I could cancel the order and was told no cause the order already shipped. Filed a dispute on my credit card for product never received - won the dispute (thanks Chase Bank). Went to get contacts from somewhere else but had to explain to my eye insurance company what happened so insurance could be applied to the new purchase.

Went in for an eye exam today just to get a prescription since my older one had expired. From the start, there was pressure to add extra tests not covered by insurance. I had to sign multiple waivers and was given no clear explanations about what the optional tests were for. I agreed to one out-of-pocket test and declined another. Later, I was asked to consent to dilation without being told what it involved. Since I was short on time, I declined. At that point, I was told dilation was necessary for the doctor to examine my pupils--but instead of rescheduling, they immediately pushed the $40 test I had already declined, again with no explanation of its purpose. After the test, the doctor briefly said everything looked fine, with no detail on what the test showed or why it was needed. When I asked for a printed prescription, I was told to access it online. Overall, there was very little transparency or communication. They focused more on upselling than patient care. I won't be returning and wouldn't recommend this place.

Very bad experience overall. The doctor didn't even tell me my prescription at the end, she just told me to look in the portal. Dr. James is not good at communicating what she is doing or what the eye exam results are. I've been going to eye doctors for 10+ years and this has been the worst experience thus far.

My favorite eye doctor in Nashville. Free parking, convenient scheduling and super helpful staff (Santi). My glasses were finished within a week, and my contacts arrived even faster. The extra, optional tests gave me peace of mind.

My first visit to Music City Optical was the best routine eye exam visit I have ever experienced. The office makes full use of technology administratively as well as for the technical eye exams. I had a thorough review of the health of my eyes by Dr. Connie James. Dr James was pleasant, personable, and professional. Customer service was top notch and Dylan helped me pick out a stylish frame in record speed in a lovely setting in the cool historic building where the office is located on Music Row. Thank you Music City Opticsl! I look forward to wearing my new glasses.

I had a fabulous experience at Music City Optical, from the exam to picking out my frames everything was very streamline and everyone was very kind. Also, Dylan is simply the best and such a joy! No problem seemed like a problem to him, positive energy all around. He spent a lot of time helping me choose frames and then redoing my glasses when I made a mistake. Couldn't ask for more really!
