Nashville Vision Associates

I love this place. My husband and I have met with 3 of the doctors here so far. They have all been very friendly and knowledgeable. The support staff are very professional the front desk ladies are very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone.

I have been going to this office since I was in my twenties. I am in my sixties now, and not one employee knows my name, not even the doctor. I tell ya, there's a black cloud hanging around that office. Last visit, the doc said, "You've got a retinal detachment. No big deal. It happens when you're old." Nice bedside manner, eh? Funny enough, I recently changed to him because the doc before had none at all! ps They've got this weird phone problem, which they admit to on their outgoing message. So, don't expect to know it's them if/when they call you back... I hear Cornea Consultants is a far better practice. That's where I'm headed.

I highly recommend Dr. Frank Scott. I have been a patient of his for many years & was there recently.He, as well as his support staff - Farrin, Brandy, & receptionists- are professional, kind, and helpful. Dr. Scott explains things in an understandable way and is open to answering questions that I have.

Their billing policy is abhorrent. They'll send you to collections without so much as calling you. I was out of town for an extended period and came back to a letter threatening to send me to collections over a fifty dollar bill. What a terrible practice. To riff on your letter: despite the difficulty I have in taking this kind of action, my policy dictates that I will not be returning to this practice. Glad your 50 dollars was worth losing a customer.

I've been going to Dr. Herring ever since he joined Nashville Vision Associates. I find him to be a very professional and caring eye doctor. He has always taken care of my eye issues if needed. I would highly recommend him to any of my friends.

I did not like Dr. Herring at all. He seems very new and inexperienced. When he shined that extremely bright light in my eyes he did it longer than any other doctor has ever done to me (took him forever to examine whatever he was examining) and it was extremely uncomfortable. He is obviously new at it. Most upsetting was that he misdiagnosed my contact lens discomfort and told me to wash my eyes with baby shampoo. He also never asked to look at my eyelids and only did so when I suggested it. After this visit I went back to my old Dr. who prescribed steroid eye drops and told me I'd be back in contacts in a week. Perhaps Dr. Herring knows about glaucoma but he doesn't know anything about contact lenses. I mistakenly thought I needed an ophthalmologist to treat my eyes but I should have just asked my regular Dr. Kelli Jackson she knows everything about contacts and is a great Dr!

Not just today, but every one of my visits to Nashville Vision Associates has been pleasing. Dr. Taylor is the nicest and most professional person I have met. She is thorough in my vision assessment and very explanatory. You actually look forward to the visit. If you are feeling down going in, you are smiling going out. I apologize as I did not catch the techs name, but enjoyed talking to him during my examination. He was very pleasant and I can not imagine a more extensive review. He was patient and generous with his time when I was unsure of a reading - wanted me to be comfortable with my decision. Again, a very nice conversation too. I would be remiss if I also did not mention the administrative assistants. They were friendly, smiling and directive. An A+ on every facet of my appointment! Everyone at Nashville Vision Associates that I come in contact with performs their responsibilities to the highest standard. I thank them for their care and nice interaction!

Janet Nichols was great with my contact lens fitting. I've worn contacts for about 30 years and never had as thorough an evaluation/fitting as this appointment with her. She had me try on approximately 10-12 lenses to find the right fit. I would recommend her to others in a heart beat.
