The Eye Vets

On Halloween I noticed my 10 years old Beagle, Katie, was showing signs of blindness. A week later, at her already scheduled exam, I asked her vet to examine her eyes. He saw no obvious abnormalities so we decided to wait to see if Katie got better on her own. On Wednesday, Nov. 12, it was obvious that something was very wrong and it wasn't going to heal on its own. So I started looking for an animal ophthalmologist. Thankfully, I found out the Eye Vets were doing their bi-monthly satellite office in Bowling Green that day. I live 5 minutes away, so my husband and I rushed her to them. Dr. Bergstrom and his staff were incredibly kind and helpful especially when my husband had to leave for a bit to handle a previously scheduled meeting and Katie and I were left by ourselves. Dr. Bergstrom performed an ERG test on Katie's eyes and confirmed his suspicions of SARDS (Sudden Acquired Retinal Degeneration Syndrome). While he told me there is no treatment for SARDS, he also assured me it is not a life threatening disease. Katie can still live out a full life. My husband, I, and our other fur kids are helping Katie transition to her new reality. I am incredibly thankful for the Eye Vets. If you are needing to have your fur baby's eyes looked after, I highly recommend Dr. Bergstrom and the Eye Vets. Their care was excellent and the cost was very reasonable.

I can't say good enough things about The Eye Vets!!!! They have done such wonderful things for my pup and got her out of pain. They also made ME feel heard and listened to as a dog owner. They listened to every one of my concerns and explained each little step of the way to my pups healing. I live 3 hours away from The Eye Vets and I drive it because I wouldn't trust anyone else with my pup. And they have accommodated me and the long drive so well with scheduling!!!!! They've printed med schedules for me to use to keep track of meds, they've made a clear list of what each medication does and why, they've given me lists of emergency services in case my pup ever needed it, and so much more. My pup got her eye removed with the eye vets and it was such a seamless surgery and I felt so comforted as an anxious dog owner. They have done such a great job and I can't recommend them enough to anybody who needs eye care for their animals

I was referred to the Eye Vets when my 10yo diabetic dog was diagnosed with cataracts. This office has been so kind and supportive, and ensured I fully understood my dog's condition and our treatment options. Dr. Minaldi and his team are extremely knowledgeable and thorough, and just genuinely compassionate people. The waiting area and exam rooms are modern, clean, and spacious. All around great place. I highly recommend this team to anyone needing specialist vet services.

I can't say enough good things about the care our dog received at the Eye Vets. From the moment we walked in the doctor, and staff, were incredibly gentle and patient with our pup -- it was clear they truly love animals and understand how stressful these visits can be for them. What really stood out was how clearly everything was explained to me. I never felt lost or confused about the diagnosis or the treatment plan. Every step was broken down in a way that gave me real confidence that we were in the right hands. The communication, whether by text, phone call, or in-person was the best I've encountered. The treatment was a success, and my dog is doing wonderfully. If your pet needs eye care, look no further -- this team is exceptional. Highly recommend!

Top notch care!! Great team and extremely knowledgeable doctor. Very clean office and rooms. They were amazing with my French Bulldog. Can't recommend enough.

Dr. Bergstrom and his entire team are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. As soon as you walk in the door, they are friendly and kind and patient. My pup thinks the receptionist is her best friend. The entire team has been so wonderful. They respond quickly. They don't act like any of my questions or concerns are crazy or paranoid. They truly care about my pup and want her to get better. They have worked around my crazy work schedule and having to travel. I cannot recommend this place enough. If your pet has an eye issue, this is where you want to be!!!!

The doctors are incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything clearly, which gave us complete confidence in Phillip's care. The technicians and front desk staff were equally kind, attentive, and reassuring -- you truly feel that everyone there loves animals and takes pride in what they do. Phillip was treated like family, and that means everything to us. The level of expertise combined with such warmth and empathy is rare. Oh my goodness! We love this place! Our little doggie has glaucoma, and we were just frantic with worry, but everything is working out wonderfully with the staff at Eye Vets. They take the worry off our shoulders and give us a game plan action exactly what to do each visit! The whole staff is friendly and caring. I wish we didn't have to drive so far, but it is well worth the care we get
