The staff that does the eye exam is fantastic! They are kind and fast! I didnt wait but maybe 3 mins in the waiting room for my appointment. The woman who sells the glasses however is a bit pushy and rude. Basically.... get the exam here then buy the glasses online.

I've been going here for about 4 years, and I've always been pleased with the service.
Pro: Easy to make an appointment, I can buy refills within one year of the exam, going in person or by phone has always worked, the tech and the doctor are courteous and efficient.
And its not far from my daily rounds.
Con: closed 3 days a week ( At the time of this review)

Do not recommend ! Waited a month for my glasses. I called weekly. Got a different excuse each time. They blamed my insurance for being slow. Etc. She had them sitting on the desk the whole time. Said the lenses were processing without the frames ?! Then said oops. I'm currently sitting at a different eye care. In response : No actually they received a claim for the visit. They NEVER received one for the glasses. Easily verifiable. Yes, it was a different excuse weekly. I record all phone calls.Also the new eye care can't even enter my contact prescription into the computer. It isn't a real prescription as written. The Dr. Was very nice and competent. I wish I could say the same for her front desk staff.

I highly recommend Thompson Lane Eye Care. I appreciate the time & care Dr. Jones gave me during my exam. I've been going to optometrists for decades & no other doctor has ever been as thorough as Dr. Jones. It's apparent she cares about her patients & their eye health. 5/5!

Was a waste of time going to this eye doctor
I scheduled an appointment a week ahead of time and informed the staff what type of insurance I had.
Upon arrival I waited over a half hour while the staff tried verifying my insurance.
I asked why they did not verify my information prior to my scheduled appointment.
The staff seemed not to care that my time had been wasted!
I do NOT recommend this doctor for ANY of your eye care!!!!!

These other reviews on here are old. I have been going to TLEC since Dr Jessup had the practice. I was considering going somewhere else closer to home, but at my next appointment, a new doctor had taken over the practice. She was awesome! Her name is Dr Alison Jones. She answered all my questions, I didn't feel rushed, and was very personable. I have even taken my small, loud children there during my appointment and no one batted an eyelash. They also have a small kids area in the back. Her staff is great as well! I'm a native English speaker but all of her staff speaks English and Spanish. They are all easy to understand. This has been several years now that she has taken over the practice. I highly recommend this office!

The exam went well, doctor was great. Staff very helpful at first. However, I placed an order, then tried to change it a few days later, having decided I wanted a different style. They said they could not do it and I had to contact the my insurance co. and appeal to them myself. When I called the insurance they said that stores call and cancel/change orders all the time and it is up to their discretion whether to do so or not. My insurance company called them on my behalf, and then the store let me make the change with a $35.00 fee. I did not mind paying the fee, but I should never have had to go through all of that trouble to get the order changed. Thus 3 stars and not 5.
