This review does not pertain to any departments in Walmart other than the Optical Vision Center.
Three months ago, I received new eyeglasses through the VA, but my vision stayed blurry. While waiting for a follow-up, I kept using my old prescription. After three months without an update, I went to Walmart to compare exam prices.
At Walmart, Ms. Niveen Azir promptly identified that my lenses were too small for progressive lenses. She explained the need for proper lens size and assisted me in choosing frames suited to my prescription.
With my new glasses, my vision is clear. Ms. Azir's expertise resolved my vision issue and saved me money.
Ms. Azir is a master at her craft and deserves recognition. Her personality, professionalism, and knowledge earned my highest respect.
I plan to return to Ms. Azir for a second pair.

This was my first time ever having a contact lense exam. It was fantastic, and I'm so glad I picked this place. Megan was amazing and so patient with me. I had trouble getting the contact lenses on. My eyes are sensitive and don't like to be touched. She walked me through all the different methods. If she wasn't there, I would have never gotten them on. Both Megan and Dr. Newsom are smart and friendly. Thank you so much!

I had the best experience here guys. I walked without an appointment around 11:00am, had my eye exam on, 17 September 2022. The doctor was patient and kind. The lady that checked me in was wonderful. The lady in the glasses area was fantastic. She checked my insurance to see which glasses falls under Davis Insurance so I could get my frames for free. She checked everything that my insurance would pay for that way I knew exactly what I had to pay out of pocket. I left a very happy customer. My only complaint would be the wait in the glasses area as the sweet lady that helped me was by herself.

Dr. Newsom and Megan are great! The location got flooded after the storm, but they still managed to clean up and take me in right before they close. I wasn't sure if I could make it, but they were so nice and waited for me. The exam was quick, affordable, and pleasant! I'd come back whenever I need an eye exam again. Definitely recommend. Also, the hours in some of the review pictures are correct, not the google default one.

First and foremost this eye doctor has one of the most nasiset attitudes I've ever met in my life!!! I DID NOT want to come back to him, but I absolutely had no choice since I paid for my first visit.. Finding different Doctor's has been very difficult for me the past 2 years.. due to the attitudes. Doctor Newson is one of the WORST eye doctor's I've ever gone to in all my year's of seeing different ones...I'm not sure if it's due to him being very old!! just had a really bad uncomfortable situation with this man! The very first visit was horrible for me because he already had a funky attitude before he even did the eyes exam!!! I'm never in my life ever going back to that man. I don't see how he's still in practice!! My entire day is ruined by this encounter with him. Please do not refer your family to this mean nasty attitude man!!! Wished I could give him 0star

Had a great experience with Dr Newsom. They take walk-ins and appointments. He's personable and the team there gets you in and out of your appointment in a reasonable amount of time. I paid out of pocket the day I went, for a contact eye exam it was $95 but a basic eye exam was around $60-65 I believe.
