Dr Shields and Dr Jessica are both excellent. Have gone here for myself for years, and now take our kids as well. Top of the line equipment. Beautiful, clean, professional office. Friendly doctors and staff. Even a great coffee/drink bar while waiting. Now if they could just replace the uncomfortable couch in the waiting area... :)
UPDATE: Within weeks of posting this review, I received a card in the mail (see uploaded photo) from Dr Evan, inviting me to come and try out their NEW couch. This is the great thing about living in a small town and doing business with small town businesses...they listen, they care about their customers and their feedback. Nolo is an asset to our community...please check them out!

Disappointed that I had a visit with Dr. Williams last week and had a diagnosis. I called a few days later to speak with her and she was out of the office. The receptionist "typed" up" my concern and said she would have the doctor call me when she returned to the office on Monday. I did receive a call, however it was from the receptionist, not the doctor. This is very disappointing. I think it is important for a doctor to respond to a patient directly. How does she know that the receptionist didn't miss anything in the notes? Patient care shouldn't be just when you are in the office. Very disappointed.

The exam was very thorough, and Dr. Williams and her technician answered all my questions. I am very particular about the eye care professionals whom I engage and will never visit an optometrist who is employed by a doc-in-a-box.
