Center for Sight

The doctors here are wonderful. Unfortunately, my overall experience was negatively impacted by repeated interactions with Angie, the optician. Each encounter was unnecessarily rude and unprofessional, which was disappointing and unexpected. Because of this, I will not return while she is employed here. Should that change, I would gladly reconsider my review and update it to five stars.

Dr Laney has been great, and Dr Franklin did a good job on my cataract removal. However, I don't recommend the optical center there. Half the time the glasses come back wrong, they're more expensive than other places, and one of the women in the optical center is the rudest lady I've ever dealt with. I won't name her name. She knows who she is.

On was my second visit to the practice.. they told me my insurance wouldn't cover my office visit So I had to pay $130.00 In which, I did at the time of service Only to find out they billed my insurance as well IN WHICH MY INSURANCE PAID $150.00 .. so since Marchs visit and then of April's billing I learned of this So i called the drs office and requested my portion of the money back I received $55.00 so far And yet to receive the remaining balance Lady is on maternity leave So NO ONE ELSE IN THE OFFICE CAN HELP ME Here it is October and I have called several times and left several voices mails only to be avoided Still yet to receive my money or returned phone calls

Overall I wouldn't recommend- while doctor Lanney and her techs were very sweet I waited well over two hours for a routine exam, nothing was explained thoroughly to me, I was asked all my health history despite the tech having my paperwork in her hands she could refer to and last the optical woman who helped me was just rude and had a bad attitude- she acted like it was inconvenient for me to be asking what my insurance covers/cost of frames. By the end of it I felt like I was over charged but didn't want to ask her questions because she had a bad attitude from the start.

I was very impressed with Dr.Franklin and his entire staff. Everyone was very professional and friendly. The women in the optician shop were patient and helpful in my search for new frames. Overall, I had a great appointment!

I had been going to another optometrist in town and decided to come to Center for Sight to see if they could do a better job of fitting me with contacts. I also had a dry eye problem and some scarring from having cataracts removed. First I saw Dr. Franklin and he lasered the scarring which cleared up the vision in my left eye. Second I saw Dr. Laney for the dry eye and she was great and very thorough. Finally I saw Tiffany and she ordered my contacts and got it right on the 2nd try. The right eye just needed a little more power. After going to the previous eye clinic who never were able to order the proper contacts and didn't see the scarring in my left eye and also did nothing to diagnose the dry eye Center for Sight was spot on with everything they did. Thank you.

Always, always runs way behind appointment times. This is the 4th time in 5 years I have been here for either an appointment for myself or my daughter. Every single time I wait in the lobby 45 minutes to an hour after my appointment time. I normally wait an additional 30 minutes to be seen by the Dr once they put me (or my daughter) in a room. They claim it never happens but it seriously happens every single time I come to this Dr. The location is convenient and they do give a very thorough eye exams, but my time is valuable too. If your daily routine involves being on a strict timeline, find another eye Dr. If you don't mind making an appointment and being at the office for 1 1/2 to 2 hours for a routine eye exam then this place is for you. Again, they do give very thorough exams but not everyone has time to wait an hour or more past their appointment time.

If you have a kid with ASD, you must see Katherine Laney OD. She was amazing with him. He wears a mask because he has lots of Covid anxiety and she immediately put a mask to make him more comfortable. She was patient with his questions and his sensory issues when he had trouble with his eyes being dilated. Love, love, love. She is amazing!!!! The facility is nice and all the staff were super sweet and helpful. Especially the lady in the area where you get glasses. She went above and beyond when he asked if she could look up the exact frames he had last. Thanks for making a difference.
