Port Royal Eye Care

I stopped by here for an eye exam. First off, the office staff are amazing: Bella and Emily. But the really amazing thing was the eye doctor. Dr. Mallory. She should be an engineer. She has the most amazing analytical approach to making prescriptions, and explaining everything. Never had an eye exam like this in all my life. She was even able to have me try on the lenses she recommended using a modular glasses kit. These were for viewing computer monitors for work, so she had me test it out on her monitor. This is the most advanced setup I have ever seen. She spent triple the amount of time with me than any other eye doctor. Do not go anywhere else!

I recently walked into Port Royal Eyecare at 5:27pm and they close at 5:30pm. Bella immediately introduced herself and welcomed me. She asked how she could help. I explained that a screw had come loose on my glasses and part of the frame was no longer connected. I'm pretty sure before she could say anything I blurted out that I was going to have trouble driving home without my glasses. I admit, I was anxious. She calmly said "Sure we can help you with that. Let me see what Allen can do". A few minutes later Allen came out and my glasses were fixed. He had even cleaned them for me! I opened my wallet to get my credit card to pay, and they said there was no charge. I was so thankful. I promised to leave them a Google review, and here it is! Five Stars!

The physicians and entire staff at Port Royal Eye care always make the experience so enjoyable. Every person I have come across in their office has been wonderful. From the moment you walk in the front door, the positive, joyful energy can be felt - I seriously don't think anyone could arrive with a bad mood and leave the same way - they always serve smiles and laughs with their knowledgeable, compassionate care and it is infectious!

Today Dr. Price performed my third treatment of IPL for my severe dry eye and reoccurring styes. My eyes were so dry that I could not keep my eyes open to read or watch television in the evening. I noticed immediate results not needing eye drops or hot compresses. I understand that after my fourth treatment I will achieve maximum results. Dr. Price and her staff are professional and kind. Dr. Price explains the procedure, numbs the eyes for comfort and updates you with everything she is doing. There is minor discomfort that is not lasting. I also experienced some redness for a few hours after. This procedure is well worth the time and investment as I no longer need eye drops or have any dry eye. I am from Michigan where this procedure is not available and I fly here every few weeks to have iPL done with Dr. Price.

At 67 years old with poor eyesight, I've been to many optometrists. Port Royal Eye Care is by far the finest. The glasses I just picked up give me the best vision I've had in decades. Because my vision is poor, my glasses have always been thick. These frames fit perfectly and the lenses are the thinnest I've ever had. The staff is friendly, efficient, and very skilled. Highly recommend.

We started going there years ago because it was convenient. Dr. Price wasn't a part of it. Then, when she took over, we went because of her...and Tina...and Sunshine. NOW I have new insurance that Dr. Price doesn't accept, (practically no one does, it's garbage) but we'll continue to go regardless. I have two children that go to her and a sister. We all love her. She's an amazing human being.

Dr. Price and her staff are superb. I've gone to other eye care providers and this city and they didn't tell me some of the most important things I needed to do for my eye health. Dr. Price not only explained to me my issues, but is caring, gentle and funny. Even though my insurance doesn't cover Dr. Price, to me it's worth it to see her because her care is the best. Worked with Allen to get the perfect pair of glasses. I suffer from bad migraines with a job that is glued to a computer screen. He told me about the Avulux lenses, and I must say they have been a huge game changer. Initially I was slightly concerned with the slight tint they have, but I'll never own a pair without Avulux lenses. Prior to these I opted for transition lenses. I've noticed my eyes not being nearly as tired. When I take my glasses off sometimes it's brightness overload, but with a WFH job it's easy to be a vampire. I haven't had any issues driving at night or playing dark video games like Diablo with my husband. If you struggle with screen lights and headaches it's a no brainer! Plus with retro frames being in style again it just adds extra character with functionality.
