Wasn't crazy about the reception the lady was rude when i asked about pupil measurements she said that didn't matter. Now I've been waiting 5 weeks for my glasses. First time I called said would have end week, waited a week called again was told they had problems w the lenses should have soon, 3rd time I called at 4 weeks was told frame was on back order and they now had at lab should have glasses a couple days, 5 weeks tomorrow and still waiting, ugh

Absolutely recommend after I suffered for over a year and two months due to a super well advertised place in Nashville performed cataract and glaucoma surgery on both of my eyes with various eye drops that kept my eyes super inflamed. Dr. Mahan corrected the problem with my first visit. The office staff, technicians and doctors are caring and knowledgeable!

I called to make an appointment for my mom because she has been struggling with a persistent stye in her eye. We originally contacted a different office in Tullahoma, but they couldn't schedule her until the end of April. They suggested I try this office instead. However, when the receptionist answered, she was not welcoming at all. As I began explaining the situation, she abruptly cut me off as soon as I mentioned that it was a stye. She immediately stated that a stye was not an emergency and that the doctor would not "fit in" my mom for a "simple" stye. She told me that, for their office, this would not qualify as an emergency appointment. Had she allowed me to finish, she would have understood the full situation. My mom has been dealing with this stye for nearly three weeks. She has already completed two rounds of antibiotics, yet it has not improved. She has lost almost all of her eyelashes on that eye, it's been extremely painful for her, and the stye continues to grow, now affecting her vision. You would think that, as an eye care center, they would show compassion for all of their patients, regardless of the circumstance. After looking up the office and reading the reviews and ratings, everything makes sense. For the sake of your business and your patients--do better.

Honestly one of the worst reception staff I have dealt with, out of all the eye doctors please go somewhere else

Was treated extremely rudely from the staff. Have till yet to get my glasses after 3 weeks after ordered. After 6 phones calls to the office being treated rudely everytime. Was now told it'll be 7-10 more days before I get the glasses.was told to be grateful that I'm getting them at all. That they don't make money on glasses they done it as a favor to me. Spoke with the owner concerning the way customers are being treated. She defended her employee. And that she does not want any of CSX railroads business anymore. So if you want to be treated extremely rude and disrespectful. And don't care if you need your glasses in a reasonable amount of time or who knows if I will get them at all now. Go see these folks they won't help you out!

Your staff forced me to go to another practice. She would not quit talking and very quickly made me upset. I would recommend not using Cornea Consultants! James Craig Smith

I WAS a patient at Eye M.D.-Ophthalmology. This is a lengthy review, COMPASSION AND THE WAY SOMEONE SHOULD BE TREATED IN GENERAL ARE IMPORTANT. I DO NOT KNOW IF THE OPHTHALMOLOGISTS ARE AWARE OF THE WAY "RECEPTION" TREATS THEIR CLIEINTS, THE 2 ON DUTY NOVEMBER 30, 2021 2:30 PM, SENT ME OUT CRYING FROM THEIR LACK OF COMPASSION WHILST I STRUGGLED TO EXPLAIN MY SITUATION AND NEED AS A CURRENT PATIENT OF THEIR OFFICE. Communication for me is hard because im still relearning how to speak, they could not have been more annoyed with my struggling.In the beginning of October 2021 I was diagnosed with a rare condition called Guillian-Barre Syndrome. Along with acending paralysis due to my immune system deteriorating the sheath lining of my nerves this Syndrome completely paralyzed my facial muscles. This includes my eye lids not being able to completely close. It took less than a week for me a normal, healthy active person to be life flighted from Tullahoma Harton hospital to Vanderbilt in Nashville where I spent several weeks in Neuro ICU then transfered to inpatient rehab for another 28 days where I had to relearn to walk, talk and eat. During that time EVERY 4 HOURS I required eye drops, had to sleep with a mask because my eye muscles were incredibly compromised. On top of the already mentioned medical nightmare I also had a adverse reaction to medication and spent another week in Cardiac ICU at Vanderbilt. It was an absolute must that I immediately get into my ophthalmologist upon discharge to make sure there were no major changes affected by the paralysis. Truly not a "general exam" appointment. I have my eyes checked every year. Unfortunately, my yearly cut off was October 30, 2020. I was in the hospital from October 4th and finally home November 28th. I explained it was not a general appointment, more of an emergency. She informed me they didn't do emergency eye exams and I would have to talk to the other receptionist. When she was off the phone. Well, there would be no way for them to accommodate my needs until January and they were less than cordial about me asking if I needed info sent from any of the team of doctors that cared for me. Bottom line, I left the office in tears. Checked the reviews on some other ophthalmologists, found another IMMEDIATELY. Called explained my situation. This office CLEARLY UNDERSTOOD and was EDUCATED on the danger of my situation. My appointment was scheduled the NEXT DAY. IF YOU VALUE YOUR EYES AND HOW YOUR TREATED STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE.

Just had cataract surgery (December 30 2015--they did the other eye last month!) Everything splendid. Dr. Mahan is a terrific physician, and his staff are attentive and helpful. Full marks to everyone!
