Better Vision Cypress - Eye Care

5 stars As a pediatric registered nurse, I'm incredibly selective about who we trust with our family's eye health--both for our elementary-aged child and for the adults in the household. We've been dedicated patients of Dr. Naveera Farooque at Better Vision Cypress for years, and the level of care is truly outstanding across the board. We live in the deep Pearland area and make the long drive every time without hesitation because Dr. Farooque delivers exceptional, thorough, and compassionate eye exams for everyone in our family. She's an expert at pediatric vision care--making our kiddo feel relaxed and confident during check-ups while carefully monitoring developing eyes--but she's equally impressive with adult exams, catching subtle issues early, explaining prescriptions clearly, and providing thoughtful recommendations for glasses, contacts, or any needed follow-up. Her attention to detail, combined with her warm and patient demeanor, makes every visit feel personalized and reassuring. The office staff is fantastic too--friendly, welcoming, and genuinely kind to our entire family, from the little one to the grown-ups. They handle scheduling, insurance, frame selections, and everything in between with efficiency and smiles, creating a positive, low-stress experience every single time. If you're in the Cypress area or even farther out and want top-tier eye care for your kids and the whole family, Dr. Farooque and Better Vision Cypress are worth the trip (or the switch!). I made an appointment with better vision for a routine eye exam. I was texted beforehand asking what insurance I have, and told them the company over text. They asked for the policy info, I asked to provide that at the time of appointment (didn't have it on hand) They said that was fine and they would see me then. When I reiterated the insurance company (didn't even get to the policy info) at my appointment time they said they don't take that. At no time during the text conversation was it communicated they did not take that insurance company. Why would you ask for the policy info if you don't take that company? Very frustrating and a waste of my time.

The staff are friendly, the doctors take time to explain everything clearly, and the eye exams are thorough without feeling rushed. A great place to go if you want attentive care and a comfortable clinic environment.

I cancelled my appointment because it's a big red flag when I ask for a routine eye exam and they not only want vision insurance which covers that but also medical insurance information for " just in case extras are needed."That just screams fraud to me . From some previous reviews , it appears my suspicions are correct . There are plenty of other options in the area, no need to go with one that smells fishy.

I had an excellent experience during my annual eye vision check-up. The staff were professional, welcoming, and made the entire process smooth and efficient. The optometrist was thorough in explaining every step of the exam, ensuring I felt comfortable and informed. The office was clean and well-organized, and I never felt rushed. I highly recommend this clinic for anyone looking for high-quality eye care!

Dr. Alvarado is amazing! She was very kind and personable, educated me on the health of my eyes, and definitely enjoys her job. I will be returning in the future and recommend anyone that needs an eye exam to visit her!

My review seems to keep on getting deleted unless I rate it 2 stars. Dr. Alvarado was great but her desk staff were a little lacking. An appointment that I was early for and was only supposed to take 15 minutes according to the booking took over an hour. I understand 30 minutes but over an hour is excessive. I would have appreciated if someone had told me in advance about the wait time so that I could have let my boss know instead of being late to work. The reviews on yelp also reflect this sentiment, I would recommend reading those before proceeding. I felt as if the additional add ons were more a way to get more from me than help. I needed an appointment soon but I feel like there were definitely better places within walking distance with a better scheduling UI and better prices.
