My experience with America's Best has been one of a kind like everything nothing and no one is perfect. But since day one around 2019 I believe their customer service has been superb and they have always taken care of me. Now not only me but my family comes here for their glasses and eye exams. Recently got new glasses and sun glasses which frames and lenses where causing me discomfort. On my previous visit the manager on duty a gentleman took upon himself to personally assist me.He provide me with a satisfying solution my lenses where replaced and my frames got refitted. Today I happen to come and pick up my second set of lenses and Lorenzo and Nibialicia provided outstanding customer service. My second set of lenses got installed and my second set of frames got refitted. Thank you all for the great experience and thank you management specially the manager on duty who took care of my situation on my previous visit. your outstanding management skills. Customer service does not go unnoticed your staff is doing and amazing job kudos to Nibialicia and Lorenzo
. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK YOU GUYS ARE DOING AN AMAZING JOB HAPPY HOLIDAYS
Just look at all the negative reviews before scheduling. I went in to renew my contact and eyeglass prescriptions. The trial contacts they gave me were so blurry I couldn't drive safely. I scheduled a follow-up immediately, but the clinic kept canceling, pushing my appointment.
When I finally got in, I told the doctor the prescription made daily life unsafe. I even brought my previous prescription that worked for years. His response? "I don't even want to see that." He dismissed my concerns entirely. Even though I could read the letters, they were still blurry--I told him this, and he stated that it was "20/50 vision" and ended the nearly five-minute exam.
Then they charged me $139 for a follow-up that should've been free under the 45 day policy. When I asked to review the new prescription before finalizing, the assistant literally took the pen from me and tapped "Accept" without my consent. The updated prescription? Even weaker than the blurry trial one.
I also bought glasses based on that faulty prescription--completely unusable. I now have to pay out of pocket to see another provider just to get a working prescription so I can function! So far, I've spent over $400 and been left with blurry vision, stress, and zero resolution.
This place is a scam. The doctor and staff are incompetent and a complete disregard for patient care or basic vision needs.
At this point, I have taken the steps to contact corporate, Texas Optometry Board, and the BBB to file complaints.
This place is amazing. They allowed me to switch my appointment for an earlier time than the one I set. The Dr performing the exam was thorough and even explained what they're looking at and the condition of my eyes. Exam only took 10 minutes at most. Then, I was assisted by Miss Andrea for the final portion of my visit. She was informative, patient, and simply wonderful. They also have a great variety of frames fit for all budgets. I will absolutely be returning for future exams and referring friends and family.
The so called doctor gave me the wrong prescription after the shortest, most hurried, push you out the door eye exam that didn't even encompass normal things that every other eye exam I have ever had done does. So of course the glasses were wrong because he doesn't care enough to take pride in doing his exams properly. When I went back to get reexamined, the first words out of his mouth when I stepped into his office were "I don't have time for this. I'm busy." He refused to correct the prescription. So after wasting all my time because he didn't want to do his job properly, I ended up just getting a refund. Worst place ever. Do not recommend. Go elsewhere and see a real optimist that actually takes pride in his work & wants you to have the correct prescription. This guy is something else.
From check-in to checkout, my experience at America's Best was excellent. The staff was welcoming and knowledgeable, the eye exam was quick but thorough, and they helped me choose frames that fit my style and budget. Pricing was very reasonable, and turnaround time was great. Highly recommend!
I chose America's Best to get my granddaughter's first pair of glasses. The service was so great that when it was time for my wife to get her pair, I immediately knew where to go. Unfortunately, the service I experienced left such a bad taste in my mouth, that I will definitely not be going back or recommending this place. When we went to have my wife's glasses adjusted and to inquire about why her coating was coming off, the manager told us sarcastically to go wash them with soap. She continued to be patronizing and condescending towards us. No one there ended up helping us so we left. The customer service and the quality of the glasses certainly weren't America's "Best." Please save yourself the time and go elsewhere.
I was there yesterday and the staff, doctor and service were beyond my expectations! The prices are the most affordable vs other places I've been to and I've been wearing glasses almost my entire life. Thank you for the superb service. See you next year!
Made appointment weeks in advance as we went the year before and were due for our eye exam. Office kept calling to confirm. Continued to explain that it was already confirmed and gave insurance info. The day of appointment was informed that they don't use that insurance and never have even though I explained we were there the year before and it was covered by the same insurance. Front girl insisted that it didn't and I was wrong..... common courtesy- let the customer know in advance that they no longer accept the insurance, especially since you kept calling to confirm. And to the front desk employees why would you contradict the customer if we were there the year before. So annoying.
