Eastside Vision Center

This was my first visit to Eastside Vision Center, but not my last. Dr. Mario Caballero truly cares about his patients. He took the time to review my medical history, ask questions and make proper modifications to my vision. This new prescription was perfect and improved my everyday function with being able to see. I truly appreciate the time he took during the exam and the patience he has to make sure all issues with vision are addressed.

Manager Mary Jane is rude, condescendingand of no help lacks empathy. We waited over 2 weeks for my husband's and my glasses which were ordered on 6/13/23! Extremely excessive. It wasn't til I called 6/27 that they explained they weren't sure why it's taking that long and would call back with an update, never received a callback instead I called back the next day and the lady advised me they made a mistake on their end and didnt send them or some type of hold but would try and get the lab to get our glasses done asap. We did get them finally on 6/29 they seemed fine while inside and when I put them on once we were out and about all I could see was this horrible florescent blue/purple reflection everywhere!!! Absolutely horrible. My husband's were the same I immediately called to see if I can take them back, they said the obstetrician was busy. We had to take our glasses back until 7/5/23 to get the blue tint removed that I didn't ask for and now have to wait an additional 7-15 days!!!I asked the manager for compensation for the inconvenience and all this back and forth she declined. I still haven't received my contacts that were ordered back in MAY!! Because they don't even know what my correct prescription is!! They gave my expired trials and acted as if that's normal. Definitely suggest going to a more professional place and somewhere that doesn't have expired trials. I finally got my contacts however my prescription glasses were turned in and are blurry I can't see out of the rightside at all completely blurry they are cut very sloppy as well will be returning again for the 3rd time to get fixed. I'm just tired of wasting gas and my time going back and forth.

I would like to start by thanking the staff for accommodating my daughter's eye exam appointment. Being a busy mama doing errands trying to keep up with work , appointments and all. So we arrived at the location 20 minutes early or so I thought .. I was a day early .LOL OMG I was so embarrassed . So the Receptionist told me well you can update her information in the meantime . So I'm like yeah I'm already here so I did and was surprised when they called my daughter's name to the examination room for her Eye Exam . Thank you ...

5 stars for the doctor. 1 star for the staff. The doctor was very thorough and spent time to make sure everything was correct and well explained. Called weekly for 3 weeks for my contact trials. It wasn't until 3 weeks passed that they looked to find they never ordered them. Contacts didn't work out so I went in to order lenses. They said I already used my insurance. I ensured them I hadn't. I showed them the insurance website info. They basically said to bad. They weren't willing to call the insurance to check and didn't even suggest I call them. They were just done with me at that point. I went right home and ordered my glasses online using my insurance, no problem at all.

My first appointment was Monday with a follow up on Wednesday. The entire staff was professional, knowledgeable, and polite which is hard to find now days. Great customer service is on the back burner these days yet Dr. Caballero and his staff was excellent! My entire family will be their patients from now on without a doubt. Please keep it up!!

I called with the intention of getting pricing on ordering lenses for my frames. I was initially told that I would have to come in, and talk to the optician, and they would have to see the frames, and see if I had insurance. Which I replied that if they could possibly do all that over the phone since I am shopping around. Which, in my opinion, the lady in the phone responded very rudely "Well then you won't be shopping here". I am all for a business denying a service they cannot provide over the phone but to respond in such a manner is obviously something a customer does not want to hear. Unfortunately, this is the first and last time I will have an interaction with this place.

This Vision Center is amazing. The staff are effective and polite. The environment is relaxing. The whole clinic is family friendly. They helped me with my children and to ease my nerves. I would highly recommend. Also, the service is spectacular. The doctor great, funny and has so much wisdom.
