Pholvichitr Eye Care

Me and my Son scheduled a routine eye exam. This was our first time under Dr. Pholvichitr's care and we were very satisfied with the service. He was very thorough and straight to the point, he provided all the details about our eye health and condition as well as finding and recommending out prescriptions, he was also very funny! There was almost no wait at all and all staff were very welcoming and friendly! The lady who welcomed us in "Sylvia" was very thorough and knew exactly who we were when we walked in adding to that feeling of being welcomed. After our analysis with Dr. Pholvichitr we headed to the frame room where there were so many options to choose from even designer! The eye care specialists "Ramsey & Lorena" provided the utmost care and attention when briefing us about our options and which frames suited us best! Overall, the care we received exceeded our expectations. We will definitely continue under Dr. Pholvichitr's care as well as his kind and experienced staff!

I've been seeing Dr. Pholvichitr for over 4 years now (my husband for 20 plus years), and we absolutely love him and his office! Every visit is a great experience: the staff is welcoming, and the whole place just has a positive, comfortable vibe. Our most recent exam was fantastic. It never felt rushed, and Dr. Pholvichitr was, as always, so patient, understanding, and genuinely funny. He somehow managed to see me, my husband, and our daughter in just 34 minutes, without cutting corners or making us feel like we were on a time crunch. We're so grateful to have found an eye doctor we trust and enjoy seeing year after year!

Do not waste your time here. Your appointment will be set at a certain time but you'll actually be seen a lot later and they basically don't care. If you have all the time in the world then yes, otherwise save your time and money!

The Doctor was very nice but.... The people at the eyeglass sales area seemed bothered that I was interrupting their phone time. When I went to pickup my glasses the woman said here you go and walked away... No proper fitting or checking to see if the prescription was correct. It was rather upsetting. I will not be back.

I was in a dire situation because my dog got a hold of my glasses and destroyed them. I had no other pair or contacts as a backup. My eyesight is terrible, can't drive, work or function without them. This happened Monday night. I called Tuesday afternoon and was able to get an appointment early Wednesday morning. The staff was super friendly and helpful and answered all my questions. As far as Dr. P goes, he is amazing. Very thorough, knowledgeable, explains everything and makes sure he gets your prescription right. Not only I was able to order new glasses and get a pair of temporary contacts which literally saved me, but I can see much better than I could with my old glasses that I got at another place. Dr. P nailed my prescription.

He may be good if you need a quick (less than five minutes) exam then maybe he is the doctor for you. But, if like me you need more time or your eyes are bit more complex he is NOT the doctor for you. He was not listening to me when I was telling him I couldn't not see the letters on the wall; so I felt I had to say something with him telling me "I am going to push you"! Did he think I didn't want to see the letters or that I was lying?! All I wanted was a thorough comprehensive eye exam. I had heard good things about him but he is not for me, all he wants is easy patients that are not complex at all because he does want to take more time than needed. I am a nurse and the "bedside" treatment I got from him was awful.

I actually switched insurance back to VSP so that I could go back to Dr. Pholvichitr. I sincerely like the service he provides, however, he and his staff participate in Deceptive trade practices which are illegal business practices that defraud or mislead consumers. These practices can include false advertising, misrepresentation, and price gouging. A couple of examples include the additional fee for retinal imaging. When I visited almost a year ago this was not mentioned, not once. And yes there was a piece of paper on the wall stating that policy, however it was covered up with other items. I believe the cost was ~$35.00 or so. I refused to pay it simply because I did not give my consent and I was not told about it. However, my wife, my daughter and my son's did, unbeknownst to me (again a year ago). Today, my wife visited the office again, this time there was a text prior to the appointment detailing the fee, however, it states "additional fee" no amount specified. Too bad I can't attach a photo. In addition, the staff was extremely rude to her, and stated one price, then charged another. Upon asking for a refund, she was told that they were unable to give her one because the "manager" was not there to approve it. I'm so disappointed, I'm personally not going to visit this office again and neither are 4 other of his customers, last time. Too bad, if the Optometrist relied on his service alone he'd have a great reputation, however, the price gouging and the fact that the staff can't get their act together on pricing, lying to his customers, yes customers, not patients. He'd have a killer reputation. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, DON'T BE SCAMMED. VISIT ANOTHER OFFICE. Frustrated and disappointed previous customer.

Let me start off with the good, love Dr. Paul Pholvichitr and have been going for a couple of years. Dr. Pholvichitr is very detailed and takes the time to make sure you're getting good the correct prescription. Like the layout and a lot of glasses to choose from. Very good place to get your contacts. All staff are friendly except one. Bad: the one staff member can bring the experience bad. It's started when calling to make an appointment, the staff member didn't even say hello and I had to make sure someone picked up. When asked for an appointment she right away told me in a rude way that she doesn't have anything for 2 weeks. I had to tell her that fine and the made a sigh and said "hold on". Day of the appointment you can recognize the voice and put a face to that person. She was already again and giving attitude. She is an other lady but didn't get her name buttt after looking at their webs it found her but not name. She's the lady right end of this picture. Debating if I would come back just cause I would have to deal with her more than the doctor.
