Competent staff and a very knowledgeable ophthalmologist. Dr Lallathin (Bryan) was very personable and put me right at ease. Wait times were long even with an appointment though. Also they don't accept insurance for eye exams which I found odd. Overall, I'd recommend.

Southwest Eye Institute & LASIK Center ~ El Paso West provided absolutely amazing care. From the moment I walked in until the minute I left, I felt supported beyond measure. The entire staff was kind, professional, and genuinely caring. I never felt scared and always knew I was in great hands. Vero was wonderful answering all my financial questions, Ray walked me through everything and helped me feel confident in my decision, my massage therapist was incredibly patient and calming, and Dr. De La Torre personally talked me through the procedure and even gave me his number if I needed anything. Overall, an outstanding team of professionals -- I couldn't be happier with my experience and results!

This is the best place to get your eyes taken care off. I went to two other places that were so incompetent. This place was professional and were very informative. If I recommend any of my friends its gonna be with Dr. De la Torre. Its been six months since my surgery and I do not regret it at all. Money well spent.

Another Update I was contacted by Dr. De la Torre He was a true professional If i had the experience I had with this visit my rating would be 5 stars. From the moment I walked in he and his staff were super friendly and kind a very good atmosphere. Dr De La Torre took on my case as a kindness, but he was very patient, kind, and professional. The prescription was adjusted and corrected. I was treated very well and he also handled the previous mentioned situation with Dignity not going into the other Drs reasons but rather just correcting the situation and making me feel competent with my visit. Thank you I am updating this and my recommendation To 5 stars but still zero for Lallathin cannot recommend him. I have gone to this facility twice for a eye exam. The first time they said they must do a mandatory dilation. It would be nice if they would let you know so I could bring someone to drive me home. Plus I told them I literally just got one 2 days before. They didn't care and still made me do the dialation. I got my prescription and it was not correct. I can see better with my older glasses than with the prescription he just gave me. So I went back and Dr Bryan Lallathin came in and he was supposed to recheck my prescription. I believe his pride was hurt when I told him the prescription was not correct. He would not listen to why I was there and he would not let me speak. He just ran through the test saying "which is better 1 or 2," of course he does this in a millisecond so I can't really tell which is better. After all that he said there was nothing wrong with my prescription. That I was mistaken. He said I cannot help you. I told him my right side it's still blurry and that my old glasses actually make everything more crisp than the ones he gave me. He very rudely stopped me and said that it is correct and there is nothing wrong with my prescription. Very aggressively he said I can't do anything for you. I was shocked at the lack of tact and aggressive response. Maybe he needs to get his eyes checked to see that you can't treat people unkind for no reason, especially when the patient, who is paying you, is saying there is an issue. Come on just at least be tactful and pretend to listen at the very least. But no so I got up and walked out I could actually hear him telling someone insults about me as I left. He is so unprofessional. I did remain calm and left but I thought that people should be aware of this. I will never return. This happened at the resler location. Just to add, the staff and receptionist were very kind and helpful just the Doctor was horrible. Also left comments on here before emailed and called they never respond or care so I think they just post on here to pretend they care they definitely take the I care out of eye care

This was my first office visit to Southwest Eye Institute. This is a very nice office and all the people I met were very helpful and considerate. They all explained what was going to happen in the examination and answered my questions. The doctor was professional and did an excellent job of explaining everything. He and the staff were helpful with prescription refills. This office is very convenient for me with plenty of parking. I would recommend this office to anyone in need of an eye doctor.

Dr. Bryan Lallathin and his staff were awesome! Dr Bryan listened to my concerns, did an incredible job treating my eye condition. His assistant was super patient and helpful when she was getting tests for my exam. Dr Lallathin was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional! Highly recommend Dr Lallathin and Southwest Eye Institute!!!

Dr. Lallathin was amazing! Dr. Lallathin was friendly, upbeat and carefully listened to my problems with my eyes and performed the most thorough eye exam that I have ever received. He was kind, compassionate, professional and explained everything in way that I could understand!!! His staff, checking in and checking out, and of assistants were super friendly and helpful!!! I have complete trust with Dr Lallathin and will be bringing all of my family and telling all of my friends to see Dr. Lallathin!!!

If I could give less than 0 stars, I would give them -5. From the moment I spoke to her on the phone, the woman sounded really arrogant and angry. I had never interacted with someone who hated their job so much. That woman was so rude when asking me for my details and requirements, even though I wasn't even asking for an appointment, just information. In the end, I told her to cancel everything and that I wasn't interested in taking my daughter there. If this is how the receptionists are, I can't imagine what the work environment is like, including the doctor and nurses. Terrible experience.
