I came to this clinic with a legitimate concern about my right eye, which had been extremely irritated and painful. Because I didn't yet know what was wrong, I asked the technician to please be careful about putting anything in that eye until the doctor evaluated it. Instead of acknowledging my concern, she responded by telling me she had been doing this for 15 years. While I respect experience, this is still my eye and my health, and my concerns should have been taken seriously. After seeing the doctor, I later learned I had recurrent corneal erosion (RCE), which confirmed that my caution about the eye was valid. Where the experience became even more frustrating was at checkout. The doctor had written notes and instructions for the front desk, but the staff initially told me I was "good to go" and didn't mention any of the follow-up items the doctor had discussed with me. Another staff member had to go to the back to clarify the notes, and only then did they realize I was supposed to schedule a follow-up and be referred to a surgeon. That information should have already been clearly communicated. There was also confusion about pricing for potential LASIK surgery. I was told by the clinical staff that I would receive a call with pricing and insurance calculations before scheduling anything further. However, when I asked the front desk about it, they told me that's not how they do things and that I would just get pricing the day of the appointment. That directly contradicted what I had been told earlier. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and dismissive. The clinical staff and front desk did not appear to be communicating with each other, and when I asked questions for clarification, my concerns were not validated. When patients come in with serious eye concerns, clear communication and coordination between staff is essential. They also later followed up to see if was coming in, I said absolutely not I will be finding another office. If they can't handle something as simple as communication, if they are going to be dismissive about my concerns and etc, I do not want to messing around with my vision. No thank you!

I recently saw Anita Jacob George, O.D. for my post cataract surgery. During my visit Dr. Jacob immediately identified the need for treatment of an extremely high eye pressure in the right cataract surgery eye and referred me to Dr.Faisal Haq at Key-Whitman Eye Center Plano office. Thanks to Dr. Jacob's post cataract surgery assessment, Dr Faisal Haq was able to treat and resolve the extremely high eye pressure in a timely manner.
