I was misdiagnosed at an urgent care with pink eye and after discovering I have a corneal ulcer at the ER, Dr. Labbe saw me the same day within an hour even though it was Sunday. He's since seen me every two days to make sure I'm healing and don't lose my vision. He's absolutely gone above and beyond and I'm so thankful!
Dr. Labbe performed cataract surgery on one of my eyes recently. The whole process was very smooth, from setting up the surgery to the actual operation, and the follow-up appointments. I'm very happy with my improved eyesight, and I highly recommend Dr. Labbe, his work, and his office staff.
Dietlein & Labbe Eye Association has provided excellent customer service to my family! I am always greeted with a smile when checking in! The doctors and the technicians are friendly and thorough with their examination, allowing time for questions or concerns.
I always receive compliments on the glasses that I purchase from their eye center and they are very patient with me while getting my glasses properly adjusted! (It's a challenge getting my glasses adjusted )
Their commitment to excellent customer service has always been important, but it has especially been observed as they have navigated through these last few years with COVID. The care and safety of the customer has always been number one.
I highly recommend Dietlein & Labbe Eye Association to anyone with optical needs.
Great doctors, great care, out of date business procedures.
First and foremost, they have great doctors. I always feel that I get top notch care, and I think everyone would agree that this is the most important aspect of a doctor's office.
But, there are some inconveniences with this place. It appears they have a person manually dial phone numbers to place reminder calls. Result? If they fat finger your number, no appointment reminder for you.
There is no website where you can have a patient portal and print out receipts and view follow up appointments.
Calling in is hit or miss - sometimes you'll get through, other times you'll wait on hold for a prolonged period.
If you need documentation of any kind, they cannot provide it to you electronically. They can either mail it, or you can drive by and pick up in person.
Recommendation: Set up a patient portal where patients can log in and pay bills, communicate with staff, view scheduled appointments, and send and receive documentation electronically. That one feature would make a lot of routine interaction with this office a lot smoother.
Dr. Labbe has Bern my eye Dr for many years and I highly.recommend him. I recently had cataract surgery in.both eyes and had the Vivity lens replacement. So very pleased with how much my eyesight has improved. His staff is always so nice and professional. I have the upmost confidence while in his care.
I was a patient of Dr Evans for years, when she retired Dr. Wasser took her position, this was not an improvement. She lets the technician do the refraction and then comes in and looks at the eye and then the exam is over. The last visit I had was the last time I will ever go back to her, as it was the absolute worst. I called and explained that I was going to be getting Lasik surgery, and I needed the exam for glasses so that I could get Lasik. This was said a dozen times in the call, I am getting Lasik and I need glasses and I need to be evaluated for Lasik. And I said that I wanted the doctor to do the refraction for the glasses because I have to drive with my glasses. My vision was VERY bad at the time. I could not see the big E without glasses or contacts. So I took half a day off work and went in and it was a wasted visit. They still had the tech do my refraction and then they acted like they had not a clue that I was there for an evaluation for Lasik. I waited for an hour and a half for the doctor. Who then came in and said I am confused as to why you are here!! We don't co-manage Lasik, I was like what are you talking about? I have explained why I am here thirty times. Then she looked me dead in the eye and said why are you doing Lasik at your age you are closer to cataract surgery than Lasik. I am 55 not 65
Why do you want Lasik surgery! Because I have very bad vision and I am sick of contacts that I have been in for decades.
I got a prescription for glasses that was wrong and left and am never going back. I went to another Doctor and he looked at my eyes and said oh you will have no problems at all. He gave me a new prescription that I could actually see out of and I had the surgery on September 14th. It went absolutely perfect, and I should have 20/25 vision once I am completely healed.
This office is amazing!! I took my dad after complaining of blurry vision after a fall that he had. Dr. Dietlein and Dr. Labbe both saw him and he was given the proper diagnosis and treatment and they definitely saved my dad from further vision loss. All of the Dr's are so sweet and explained in detail the diagnosis and treatment. The whole staff is courteous. I would definitely recommend this practice!!
Dr. Labbe ran 3 blocks on a holiday to see me for an eye emergency. He is very considerate, kind and highly educated. I would trust him for cataract or glaucoma surgery! He is the doctor you need!
