I was referred to Dr. Nguyen For my first eye exam in years. I walked in and was greeted immediately and browsed around the selection for a bit. The wait time for my appointment was very minimal. The exams were smooth, They made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process, made sure I didn't have any questions. Dr Nguyen was very patient and helpful and even helped me look at a few pairs of glasses after my exam. I could tell she really cares and has a passion for what she does. Dealing through my Insurance was a breeze. Would definitely recommend anyone to Rim Optical, especially Dr. Nguyen! Thankful for the entire staff!

I have a wonderful experience at Rim Optical today. My 6yo son had his first eye exam and I had an exam for a prescription update. We were greeted upon arrival and the online check-in made everything seamless. The technician Sienna was super sweet and talked us through each test. Dr. Nguyen was professional and efficient, and also EXTREMELY patient with my 6yo, even as I was trying not to lose my cool haha. Both the ladies in the glasses showroom were so kind and not pushy at all which was much appreciated! I was very thankful for the time everyone gave to my son especially, even if he may not have been the most cooperative for his exam.

Friendly, chill, and experienced office. Patient rooms were clean and technology up to date. If you had to bring your kid with you, the rooms are big enough for a stroller and they have a bench for them to sit in the room. Office is right next to HEB as an added bonus for quick stop after.

I am giving two star based on my experience with the ophthalmologist (Dr. Nguyen). At times, her manner felt somewhat abrupt toward my toddler when he was standing near me, and she seemed less patient when I had difficulty following instructions during the lens changes in the vision test. While her care was adequate, I had hoped for a more patient and attentive approach, and for this reason I would not choose to see her again.
On a positive note, all other staff members were courteous and welcoming. The technician who performed my screening and the optical specialist who assisted with frames were kind, professional, and great to work with.
