If I could give this 0 stars I would. I LOVE the eye doctor's office here but the glasses portion of the business, Special Eyes Optical is terrible. On one particular occasion, I selected a frame for my child and waited at the desk for fifteen minutes while the employee was on the phone. Since she had no intention of getting off the phone to help us, I took my daughter to school and returned an hour later to purchase the frames that my daughter loved. -- The employee stated, in a rude tone "You can't buy these without the patient here." I said "oh! I'm sorry, she was here earlier but you were busy so I took her to school. We're going to do the lenses elsewhere, we just want to take care of these frames today." She very genuinely refused to sell me the frames. I left the office until honestly I realized "no. this is insane. my daughter loves wearing her glasses and I'm going to continue to encourage her to love wearing her glasses by getting her the exact ones she wants!!!" -- I went back in and said "let me get this straight....you are REFUSING to sell me these glasses?" -- she then changed her tone and said "well...it's just they won't be refundable" - WHO CARES!!! -- I eventually DID get to purchase the frames, after trying to purchase them THREE TIMES the same day. I shared this story with 2 friends who also have children at the same office and they shared nearly identical stories. This is despicable treatment in this industry where parents are simply trying to help their children SEE!!!! trying to encourage their children to love wearing their glasses!
