Acuity Eyecare - Kyle / Buda

I was very impressed with the staff and Dr. K. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Dr. K took the time to explain every aspect of my eye exam. This is the first time I have ever been as informed. I will highly recommend acuity eye center to all my family and friends. The level of care was exceptional from receptionist to glass fitting. Bravo!

One of the most unprofessional experiences I've had from a receptionist. I called to order my contacts and prescription. This experience was met with a couple of minor mistakes from the receptionist who then instead of simply correcting them failed to do her job. I went over pricing with Crystal R who initially said my total after my benefits and rebate would be $30. We talked about what a good price that was. Well it was her mistake because when I went to pay and she actually rung it all up my total would have been $100 more. I told her well that changes things and to go ahead and email me my prescription and I will call back after I shopped around a bit. It was fine, people make math mistakes - not something to shame someone for it. So then she sends me my prescription to the email address I just gave her and spelled out. I say hmmm I didn't receive it and asked her to spell the email she sent it to. She had missed a letter, but still no big deal. She sends again, I wait for about 45 seconds - still no email. My name is spelled a little more funky than normal so this happens sometimes. I ask her to spell out the email again because maybe she missed a letter somewhere else again and that is the normal next step you would think a human would do. This is where I thought the hidden cameras were going to come out and tell me I got punked. She refused to spell it out to me again. No joke. She said my email which is my name, middle initial, and last name. I was like oh umm no can you spell it (obviously wanting to make sure it wasn't a spelling error again) She said no, she wasn't going to spell out the email. That at this point it was an IT issue and she knew it was correct and she was going to send a message to IT. Ummm excuse all of me? It could very well have been a simple spelling error - especially since it was before. Not shaming anyone for spelling something wrong but she took this so personally in the weirdest way. I tried to reason with her that this could simply be the case and if she could spell the email she sent it to. She refused again! I literally felt like I was in the twilight zone that this lady refused to do her job to correct a potential error that no one was shaming her for. Then I asked for her managers name and she proceeded to give it but then say she was sick and her throat hurt. Ok... why didn't you mention that before? She made me so uncomfortable and as I was explaining the situation she interrupted me and dismissed me. Mind blown that this is the kind of service I got just trying to get my prescription that I paid for.

The person who helped me prior to the doctor was great. The doctor herself was phenomenal. I just moved to the area and she told me more today than my previous doctor did over eight years.

I've been getting my annual eye exams and prescriptions renewed for about 3 years now and I love this place. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There's a nice personal touch here that makes you feel valued as a client and listened to. They are thorough with their eye exams, giving helpful recommendations as needed. Their tech is very modern, nothing invasive, painful, or uncomfortable. Would recommend this place to anyone in Kyle.

Unlike Kyle Vision on I-35 South Frontage Rd., Acuity staff, while very kind and polite, tend to take a very long time to assist you. They push heavily for lens upgrades which cost a fortune. Because they were polite, my wife and I decided to stick with them last year. After being with Acuity for over a year, I was greatly disappointed with their sudden change in pricing. My wife was billed $130 for an upcoming eye exam that hadn't taken place. No one at Acuity followed up or explained this sudden change in pricing. After going with Kyle Vision, I was greatly surprised to find the great care and support from a dedicated group of professionals. I only wish Acuity was the same way.

We love going to Acuity to get our daughter's eye exams and prescription glasses. We have been with them since 2023 and the staff is very welcoming, supportive, helpful, and patient with kids.

Dr. K is thorough, and her sight prescriptions are always on point. Her team is also amazingly friendly.
