South Shore Eye Center

I recently had an eye appointment at this office and, unfortunately, my experience was not as positive as I had hoped. During my exam, I explained to Dr. Teresa Lutz that I currently use progressive lenses and requested a new prescription for them. However, she looked at me like she was confused and I was not provided with a progressive script. The doctor ended up giving me a single distance prescription but the document was missing some key information. After this appointment, I decided to go to my usual eye doctor at Warby Parker in Westheimer, Houston, and not only were they attentive to my needs, but the ophthalmologist treating me gave me the progressive prescription like it was a no-brainer. She also gave me a distance prescription and told me that the distance script I got from South Shore Eye Center was wrong. You can see in the pictures attached that the distance script from South Shore Eye Center (the brown paper) is entirely different from Warby Parker (white online background).

My eye appointment was great with doctor Lutz. The staff was fantastic. Dustten and Jean took very good care of me. I would recommend everyone to go here for their eye exams. Love they are honest and treat you like family.

In a world where great customer service often feels like a thing of the past, this place is a refreshing exception. From the optometrist to every staff member I encountered, the professionalism and kindness were outstanding. I truly felt valued and well cared for throughout the entire experience. I absolutely love this place and couldn't be happier with my new glasses. So glad I chose to come here!

Nice staff, but not progressive in thinking. I'm a brand new glasses wearer, ordered my glasses online, they could have gotten me as a new patient, but turned me away when I asked for help adjusting my glasses. Not smart! I drove down the street to America's Best, they were very helpful and gained a new customer.

South Shore Eye Center is awesome store is well stocked with different type of frames and clean and the girls here were very helpful and nice!

I brought my 80 year old mother to see Dr.Gibson..from check in to Dustten getting Mom ready, they were so professional, kind, and took their time with her. I first went to their website before making the appointment and I recommend everyone to go there. It had so much good information. Making it so easy even to set up the appointment. They have great prices and a very good selection of frames. It was a five Star experience from beginning to end. I would highly recommend them to everyone. You could tell everyone there is well taken care of because they truly care about their patients.
