Mano Valderaz, OD

I usually do not do reviews but this place needs one. I took my daughter to see Dr. Valderaz and we had a really good experience and highly recommend him he was very nice and caring. All the staff was so nice and handled things very professional and well during this pandemic. Dr. Valderaz answered all our questions and made sure we understood first time needing glasses so it can be uncomfortable and they took care of us. My whole family will be going to see him.

The Dr is so friendly and kind treats you like family. But his front desk should be a little more informed in that field. I was told I'd need a new prescription after 2 months because my vision could change. I don't think I'd pay $200 for glass only to need a new pair that soon & she couldn't find me in their system I guess they lost all I filled out on my first visit.

Dr Valderas is very friendly and thorough in explaining the health of your eyes. I have always found his staff to be very friendly and helpful as well. I have been coming here for years and will continue to do so. A special shout out to his staff for their helpfulness and patience in helping me decide on a frame!

I have been coming to this doctor's office for years I called the doctor's office on Monday and to verify my insurance I was told that they were not going to check it until last week Wednesday before the holiday to make sure that my insurance was verified They waited till the day of to inform me of the status of my insurance. I actually called the office to inquire just to be told that my insurance has been verified but it wasn't good until another date and they had the wrong insurance information on their system when I provided them everything that they needed to know last week. I advised them if they could check the insurance on Monday instead of waiting to Wednesday before the holiday they decided to wait and then when I called they said that it wasn't available until later, so now I told her that I was not going to be using this doctor because the front staff is incompetent and unable to perform their duties I did not receive a phone call letting me know that there was a discrepancy or that there was going to be a wait or I had to reschedule the appointment due to the lack of coverage If I didnt call them I would have shown up and been told that I didn't have any coverage until this date and I probably would have had to pay out-of-pocket for my entire which is totally the opposite of having insurance and you know going to go see a physician so you can get your eyes checked I called my own insurance company to verify. I was able to verify my insurance but I told them that I would be looking for another physician because this is just ridiculous to wait till the last minute to let a patient know that they're not covered until certain dates why would you still have me come in when you could have just called me and told me that it's not available until this date it's best that I move on to somebody else this eye doctor charges way too much and I think he is price gouging on people and taking advantage of their practices also he wants all patients to get a yearly retina exams that are only needed twice a year but he wants to have them done every year and charge extra for that which makes no sense the only sense I can understand is from it is that it's just extra money in his pocket

Why would you put me on hold for ten minutes and then release me from hold just to continue to talking to other office staff about personal conversations while I'm still on the phone waiting to have an appointment scheduled just to find out that you need almost a week to verify my insurance information?! I called Blue Cross Blue Shield directly and received your information from them. I recommend being more time efficient and making your potential clients a priority over your chitter chatter. Additionally, not hanging up on your customers while they are waiting for you to input their information would also be helpful. A call back after your hang up, would have been nice too.

Dr. Valderaz was wonderful with my daughter today. He took his time and made both of us feel very comfortable. The office staff is great too.

Dr. Mano Valderaz, OD is an exceptional Optometrist! I have been a patient since 2003! His examination of my eyes is always right. Not easy when you have bi lateral lazy eyes. I need prism in my glasses, so it does complicate the prescription. The doctor is friendly and respectful!

Canceled appointment with no notice Staff could not care less. Lied that they called to cancel (No missed call on my phone) did not offer new appointment nor did they apologize. Why make a 9:15 appointment when the Doctor does not come in till 11? had to take time from work for what? I like the DR. but CANNOT stand the staff!
