America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

My eye appt visit took one full hour because there was a backlog of patients. This was fine didn't bother me that much, however, the tech who performed my pre testing failed to ask me whether I wanted to do retinal imaging for $20 additional dollars and went ahead and did that. I'm a new patient so I'm not familiar with what's included and not included in the standard process. This was either a purposeful underhanded move or incompetence on his behalf to not inform me beforehand. Luckily the office manager was professional about it and waived the fee. I would warn new patients to double check what's included or not as to not be surprised at checkout

I wish I can give this a negative 0 rating. I was advised from the pretest lady that I would only have a $35copay for and "eyeglasses and contacts lens exam will be $15 and retinal exam would be $20. I don't wear contacts often at all typically never I just like to have a rx for it for when I do want to get a pair. So I basically wear my glasses majority of the time. I was charged $85 dollars for my visit without ever clarifying my insurance prior. If I would've known that contacts lens exam isn't covered I would've opted out of getting the exam for contacts but I wasn't informed the correct info. When I asked to speak with the manager he was extremely rude and talked to me as if I was bothering him with my concern. I do not recommend this location EVER!

I brought my mom in to have her eyes checked for eyeglasses, but our experience with Dr. Nguyen was disappointing. My mom has difficulty hearing, and the doctor seemed impatient, rushing her to answer questions quickly. When it came to choosing between bifocal options, she repeatedly asked whether we preferred "line or no line." I told her I didn't understand the difference, but she kept asking, raising her voice each time. She eventually showed us a drawing -- which would have been helpful if she had done so from the start. She could have handled the situation with more kindness and understanding. I felt bad because it was my mom's first time getting her eyes checked here in the U.S., and instead, she had to experience a rude doctor. Apart from that, the staffs were kind and accommodating. They answered my questions patiently and knowledgeably.

Came to get clarification on price quote for glasses. Nathan was very snarky and rude, he acted as if I shouldn't question him on options for My glasses . He only gave premium choices and when asked about other options he said I wouldn't be able to see. So America's best is selling glasses that all have to be upgraded just to see? Going elsewhere that doesn5 upsell me. Receptionist was very nice . Doctor was good. Mansfield location Sat Oct 4

America's Best? More like America's Worst! I was lured in by their perpetual ad claiming that I could get two pairs of glasses for $79.95. But when I went to pick up my glasses, I found only one pair instead of two. When I asked the associates about the discrepancy, they said that my insurance does not allow them to give me two pairs of glasses for $79.95 like everyone else, even though I paid more than that. To make matters worse, the glasses were packaged in what looked like plastic containers similar to those used in making 1-gallon buckets of milk. I mean, seriously? I will never ever go to America's Best again. They are the worst!"

I've always loved americas best, but the ladies today were exceptional! From checking in, to exam, to settling my tab everyone was so so helpful and friendly. Miss ALONDRA is a rock star! Her speedy service and positive attitude went above and beyond! Wasn't too pushy with upgrades and helped find a plan that worked for me and protected my glasses, all in all just a wonderful experience!

I couldn't be more impressed with the care and attention I received. Charity was incredibly patient and took the time to explain each step of the process, making sure I was comfortable and understood everything. Her expertise and gentle approach made the experience pleasant and stress-free. She truly goes above and beyond for her patients!

Updating my review, I won't ever go back to any of these clinics. Went in for contacts, passed trial. At night i realized the solution they gave me was expired. 15 days through my trial pair they were warping, I've been cleaning and careful not to use my nails eventually the contacts started to rip just being on my eyes. These contacts are rated for extended use. They did not show me expiration dates on these contacts and I believe they were expired. They do not care about your health just cheap money. Throwing discounts and rates at you, looking back I regret and realizing everyone I mentioned the name "America's Best" shames this company, not just other clinics but the general public. This place is a joke the DEA should seriously audit this company, and it's inventory also holding who orders these products should be held responsible. My exam was short, with myopia(near sightedness) they did not check my retina even though my prescription was better my last exam was years ago, at least 5 years to the point I admitted I couldn't recall. They only did the cheap air puff test, no blue light test was done. I felt comfortable but pushed through the entire process so they could bank $100 for the exam. If your hurting for money go to Walmart do not go here even for glasses. I bought my 6 months supply from Walmart and they are showing no signs of deteriorating, and are much more comfortable not irritating my eye at all. You are all literally pathetic and I'm sure you will go out of business. Google, you need to audit these reviews as many of the positive 5 stars are fake. They even tried to bait n switch on price years ago when I went for glasses, but at the time me and my grandfather fixed that quickly through conversation. The glasses I received even without scratch protection were very low quality, I've had many glasses before of both high and low quality, these peeled even when stored in there case. I am appalled, when someone gets a serious infection I hope you think your life over in prison.
