Hammond Vision Center

First time visiting this optometrist and the experience was solid from start to finish. They helped me over the phone with my insurance and knew exactly what they needed from me, no back-and-forth. The equipment looked modern and the whole exam felt streamlined. This is only my second eye exam ever, but the tech on the machines they used seemed a step above what I expected. Staff was friendly, polite, and knew their stuff. No waiting around--they brought me in right at my scheduled time and got everything done quickly. Overall, smooth visit and easy to recommend.

I had a great experience at Hammond Vision Center. The staff was welcoming, I was seen quickly, and Dr. Garza was thorough and explained everything clearly. I left confident in my eye health and happy with my new prescription. Highly recommend!

I've been going to Hammond since I was 10 yrs. old. My parents go there and now my children and grandchildren. The staff is always welcoming, always willing to help and the office is always super clean.

Worst experience was there over an hour to get glasses lady comes in as walk in as well and gets in front of line didn't even wait 10 min

Worst staff up front (older lady with short wavy hair and glasses). She was rude and ignored me after the exam as I stood in front of her for about 3 minutes waiting to ask a question. I had to say "excuse me" before she would acknowledge me, and she shook her head no and went back to typing like I bothered her. I didn't appreciate being treated so badly after being a paying customer. You are paying for a service and deserve dignity and respect. That being said, Dr Garza is amazing, humble, and thorough. If you can get past being treated horribly by the front receptionist, you get great care by the doctor. Don't think I'll be going back! Edit: Called in to ask when my next annual visit was (1/2024) and the lady said hello and her name and put me on hold without saying anything else. The front staff NEEDS TO BE RETRAINED ON CUSTOMER SERVICE. They are AWFUL to their patients!

This was my first-time visiting Hammond Vision Center in Edinburg. I arrived at my appointment time. I checked in with staff and provided my insurance information. I took a seat and was soon called inside. The staff and the Doctor were very professional. My overall experience was great. Thank You. Mr. Gallardo

I've been there twice. First time to get my eye exam and second, to make a full payment on my Versace glasses. From my personal experience.. it was OK. Friendly staff & scheduled appointment was on time. I can't wait to go pick up my new seeing glasses.
