Horrible experience waited 2 Months for my appointment for them to tell me that their system is down and could not take neither of my 2 insurances .... All the receptionist could ask is if my eyes would dry often) I said ma'm I have stigmatism and I'm blind at night I lost my glasses and I needed new ones and a new prescription... and I wanted to inquire about lazik .... Will not be returning no curtesy call either to tell me they could not see me ... waist of my time ... don't waist people's time

Spoke to a supervisor about my experience already but, after reading all these other awful reviews, I'm not sure anyone is actually being held accountable here so, to the parents, here is what you might expect: I scheduled my appt on 9/16 for 10/16. One month in advance. Only to receive a call yesterday saying the doc wouldn't be in and we had to reschedule with a different one. The only time slot available was an inconvenient time (child's nap time) but I had no choice since this was my only week off for rest of year. Then we get there. We are seen and told they'd need to use dilation drops on my young toddler. (They burn, by the way). I asked for least invasive option first. So they took pics of my child's eye and after some concerning finding recommended the drops. Takes 15 min to work. Didn't work the first time so they redid them again. Now a full 30 min of my hungry, tired toddler waiting followed by another 15-20 min or so. Not too too bad. BUT. Then enters the young female doc who I could tell has zero patience with kids. I could tell before she even mentioned to me she has no kids of her own. She looked irritated with my toddler crying because she wouldnt let her shine a light in her eyes (cause duh she is scared after burning drops) and doc says to my kid "you need to stop your crying" in a cold, RUDE tone. Says the pics of my child's eye suggest very bad hyperopia and astigmatism for age but obviously can't confirm without tests. We ended up leaving cause my hungry, exhausted child was fearful after burning drops and callous doctor. Without answers. We left without answers and a toddler with blurred vision for 2-3 hours and immense concern for the hyperopia and astigmatism findings. My recommendation to this office? Set expectations when scheduling appts with patients and HONOR appt times. Do not over book or call one or two days before appt to cancel/reschedule something that was booked a month in advance. "Hey, so we are seeing X y z for this concern? This visit could take up to x amount of time and usually doc will want to do x y z procedure." It's not that hard.

They are very busy so it takes time for the appointment. The service I got was top notch. Excelent eye care. I had both cateracts removed here.

Horrible service, they couldn't tell me my daughter needed a new eye exam because her glasses broke even with the warranty, I lost hrs from work all for them to tell me their system was down when I went, and then they were giving me an app till December, so what was she supposed to do without glasses till then!?! Definitely changing

While the doctor is ok, the insurance department is a major letdown. They seem to shift the burden to the client, expecting them to handle everything. A simple phone call could resolve issues quickly, but the staff seems "too" overwhelmed. To avoid frustration, you might want to consider a different doctor's office with better insurance handling.

Absolutely rediculous...... My appointment was at 245 pm, its 510pm and I am still in the waiting room waiting to see the Dr....I won't be coming back to this location for my annual appt.

Very slow and rude front desk staff, I clearly made an appointment for replacement glasses, they could've done more research to see if my daughter was eligible for replacement glasses, instead of making me have to be there , waste more than an hour for a consultation they were late for ,just so she can pull up a screen on her computer in 2 seconds that said our insurance won't cover replacement glasses, very disappointed i thought they were the best

I had an appointment for my daughter and this was one of the worst experiences in my entire life. With the exception of the techs that we had contact with in this office everyone else was awful. The front staff was rude and ill informed, our appointment was at 8am and they had us waiting for two hours for the referral to come through even though the primary care provider faxed it over five times. Eventually I drove over to get the referral myself and came back for the appointment. We finally were taken in after 10:30am, mind you my daughter is hungry and frustrated after what should have been a one hour appointment at most. The techs were wonderful I have no complaints regarding them, they were pleasant and treated my daughter with respect. The Dr on the other hand was rude and condescending. Dr Sooy has no business working with children if she cannot tolerate them which was obvious by the way she kept speaking to my daughter. She was acting like my daughter was a moody teenager instead of a three year old! She mentioned she couldn't continue the exam multiple times until she just gave up. My daughter is three years old and very strong willed, the Dr did nothing to ease her fears at her very first eye exam, instead she was short and rude to her throughout the entire exam. I am very surprised that they don't have a way to examine children who are scared or who have difficulty paying attention when they're in a new environment. I honestly do not recommend this office for children's eye exams and I will never be returning which I'm sure they wouldn't even care about anyways.
