Eye clinic is very good, staff attentive and professional. The Eyeglass store isn't up to standards. Lack of staff creates long wait time to select and place order for glasses. I chose to leave instead of waiting for an hour. Thurmond needs to hire more staff!

The receptionist at the front counter are very short and aggressive in trying to work with you on the schedule of your appointment. I would really expect better from a well-known eye doctor in McAllen.

The staff is friendly so that earned them two stars. But the wait in between appointments is ridiculously long. I had to cancel the first appt and the next available appt was in two months. Once you get to your appointment, you are shuffled from room to room to lobby to room and, before you know it, two plus hours have passed. For that, I am not coming back. My boys are autistic so I came here because a family friend brings his autistic son but HONESTLY this office did nothing different or special than my optometrist office. My boys were calm and did not hinder the process by very much (they're 7). Definitely not enough for two hours when most of that time was spent waiting and being shuffled around. I do not recommend for anyone.

Dr Graham has terrific and personable bedside manner. He's an amazing surgeon and the bilingual staff treats people with dignity and respect.

THE PEOPLE WORKING THERE IS JUST A PIECE MESS SO I WONT HAVE TO USE THE CORRECT WORDING THEY BLAME EVERYBODY THEY SCHEDULE SURGERIES DONT FOLLOW THROUGH O BUT TO CHARGE THEY DO THAT QUICKLY I THINK ITS THE EMPLOYEES THAT DONT CARE MAYBE THE DR DOESNT KNOW BUT IF HE DOES I AM ALEEADY SCARED ABOUT THE SURGERY AND I HAVE NEVER BEEN SCARED AND I HAD SURGERIES...... After seeing another post they also told me I owed 300

Will not be back, very disrespectful of patients, no intention of keeping appointments. They over book and even past due they don't update you of the problem why they are late. If they have no respect for their patients do you think they car about you, don't think so.

Dr. Hook was very accommodating and explained my wife's condition in detail that made it easy for us to understand. He was really patient and politely went over our options. Bedside manners were amazing, would definitely recommend Dr. Hook to anyone needing an eye consultation.

Was referred by my pcp didn't even bother to go in due to reviews. I have been on hold for over 10 min trying to cancel the appt since they charge for missed appointments and no luck. How convinient to charge a pt when they don't even bother to pick up the phone.
