Open Eyes Vision Center - Formerly Master Eye Associates

Staff was very friendly. Doctor Mendoza was very friendly, mannerable, and caring. The service was very fast and efficient. Appointments are very easy to set up online. You also get text and email reminders (with appointment time and address) 24 hours before your appointment. The office does take walk-ins but the doctor may not be available to see a walk-in right away. The staff will tell you what open timeslots the doctor has available and the office is right inside the mall with plenty of things to do so you don't have to wait around in the waiting room until your time.

I went last year and got contacts for the first time at a different facility... Was not happy with the "this deal is the one you want" but when it was all said and done that was NOT the deal I was getting. However, I have no insurance so my glasses are going to be out of pocket. As well as my exam... Master Eye Associates will be my go to optometrist for now on. They were very very reasonable for the exam and I went down stairs to get my glasses that were not going to cost me $400 - $700.00. I walked in with no appointment. They fit me in. And I was done in less than 30 minutes. Thank you for not price gouging. And for the whole experience!! No stress at all. Highly recommend them to everyone that does it does not have insurance... (Exam was around a hundred) and well worth the experience.

Of course I was extremely happy that I visited the Master Eye Associates of Mesquite. Beginning from the front desk employees to the doctor, they were incredibly doing an amazing job. Thank you doctor with your great team.

I have never been to eyeMasters before And it was absolute wonderful The doctor was great The nurses were great they made me feel like family they explained everything they were doing and why it was absolutely great I haven't had glasses in 3 years so the ones that I have are majorly scratched so yeah my vision's been impaired for a while but when I could see everything so clearly it was absolutely amazing It brought tears of happiness to me so yeah if you want a great experience go to eye Master cuz you can't go wrong there

This office is extremely professional, friendly, and has an amazing care team and super knowledgeable optometrist's. They take the time to explain everything in simple terms and can get deeper into details when asked. I highly recommend this location. Thank you.

The buzzing noise in the waiting area was almost enough to make me leave. The doctor I saw this time only took a few minutes and I'm not confident that my prescription will be correct. On the diagnoses form the wrong diagnosis was selected, I have trouble with distance vision, not age related near vision. My near vision is fine. Overall, after coming to this office for several years now, I was very disappointed.

Will NOT be going back. I had my eyes checked at this location earlier this year. I have insurance and expected to pay my co-pay. Well when the associate is going over the paperwork she informs me that I will be charged x amount over what my co-pay is because of imaging the doctor requires but is not covered by my insurance. I agreed to pay the charge because it was not a crazy amount more maybe $20. However, I found it absolutely crazy that the doctor can require unnecessary imaging and I would be willing to bet the doctor knows most people's insurance will not cover the additional cost for the imaging. Fast forward about a month, and I receive an email about an outstanding balance with the doctor. Mind you, I paid everything at my appointment, including the additional cost for the imaging. I call the office to figure out what this outstanding charge is, and no one can tell me why I still have a balance. The receptionist says she will send it to billing, and they will get back to me. I waited a couple of weeks and never heard from anyone in billing, so I called again. I am told the same thing, and when I ask for a number to call the billing department directly, I am told they do not have direct numbers; I have to wait for them to call me. This goes on for 4-5 months of me calling, trying to get answers and no one being able to give me answers. I did eventually speak with a manager or some higher-up, and she could not give me answers either. The last time I spoke with the person, they promised to get back with me. It is now October; I got the bill in February; I am still waiting for a call from the person. The cherry on top of all this is I had to wait almost 2 hours before I even saw the doctor. I will not be returning to this location; I might not even use Master Eye Associates at all going forward. The only good thing I have to say is that, overall, the doctor I saw was nice.

Master eye in Mesquite is an excellent place to get your eyes examined. If the staff needs to reach out to your insurance to verify coverage they do a great job of advocating for you.
