America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

When I first moved to Texas about two years ago, I came to this location and had a good experience. Since then, however, it seems like the staff changes frequently. The only employee I recognized today was one person who has been there consistently everyone else appears to rotate in and out often. When I arrived for my appointment, there were three employees behind the front desk chatting and laughing. The two employees at the front desk did greet me, but the overall atmosphere still felt uncomfortable. The greeting felt somewhat forced, almost like a quick polite smile, while the others behind them continued talking. One employee was also on her phone. It just didn't feel like a welcoming environment. There was also confusion regarding my insurance. Earlier that morning when I called, I was told that if there were any issues with my insurance they would call me. No one did. When I arrived, they initially had the wrong last four digits of my Social Security number. After correcting it, someone who appeared to be a coordinator handed paperwork to a newer front desk employee and asked her to come tell me that I was "not eligible." The employee who spoke with me seemed unsure how to explain the situation. The paperwork listed numbers and a possible copay, which made the message confusing. Instead of the person who reviewed the insurance speaking with me directly, the newer employee was sent back and forth trying to explain something she clearly wasn't fully briefed on. Eventually I called my husband while standing there, and he checked our insurance information and confirmed that this location is unfortunately out of network. The biggest issue for me wasn't the insurance itself things like that happen. The issue was the lack of clear communication and the uncomfortable atmosphere when I first walked in. Customer service begins the moment someone enters the door and is leaving. Even if staff are talking among themselves, acknowledging customers with genuine professionalism makes a big difference. I had a positive experience here previously, which is why I returned. But based on this visit, the environment and service felt very different. I hope management takes this feedback constructively and works to improve the customer experience.

I had a wonderful experience at the America Best in Midlothian Texas. Customer service was excellent, my associate Jackie that I worked with in selecting, ordering and receiving my glasses was very friendly and informative with my purchase. Jackie did an excellent job. I received my glasses in one week and they are great.

It's opening weekend and this team is really giving it their all. There are some tech difficulties, however this team doesn't even break a sweat. Dr. Mattingly has amazing demeanor, is kind and informative. You can tell he enjoys his profession. Kevin is the rep that assisted me with my selections, price breakdown and insurance and he was a class act. Luis was the ringer brought in to help with tech difficulties. I have used America's Best for years in several cities. This is by far the best team I have encountered. Go see this team. You will be glad you did.

I just like to take a moment. And just think Mrs Lisette. For doing a wonderful and outstanding job on my glasses. She took her time. And she did a wonderful job in reset my glasses. To a better fit on my face. And I appreciate her so much. And will always remember. America's Best in every way!

I believe her name was Mayra who did my exam, but she was great! Honestly everyone I had encountered was very polite and helpful. The young Hispanic lady, I think her name started with a J had helped pick out glasses for me and even made sure I had used my benefits to fit my needs.

Maria at the Midlothian Location is the absolute best . I came in for a quick fix on my glasses and she welcomed me With warm arms. She advised in detail what happened to my bent glasses and explained in detail solution to fix my glasses . She took her time to try to fix them and I so happy she did it . She brought my favorite pair back To life - thank Maria you are so kind

Wow!! Brittany, the Optician was amazing!! She answered my many many questions and weighed out all of my options with a smile and ease! Dr. Cao is just as amazing. She was so helpful and I learned a lot of new things about eye health. I just found my new Eye Care Home!! Yay!!!

Brittany did a great job for me. My glasses will be ready in a couple of weeks. . Midlothian store rocks from the front desk and throughout!
