Dr aaleya koreishi is a top notch surgeon for cornea surgeon. I trusted her with my eyes because of her experience. It all went according to plan and she seemed to be prepared for everything and I'm sure glad I selected her. 2 thumbs up for trienna on her staff. She helped me threw some tough points before and after surgery. Very helpful, she needs a raise! Thank you to all for a successful first eye, I will be back for the second eye for sure
I had one of the most stressful medical experiences of my life with Dr. Koreishi.
I was referred to her for a procedure to treat corneal erosion. On the day of the procedure, the environment felt rushed and disorganized. The procedure started before the assisting staff were fully present, and the doctor had to leave the room multiple times to retrieve supplies while I was in the middle of the procedure. As a patient undergoing an eye procedure, this made me feel uneasy and unprepared.
The follow-up appointment was even more distressing. My eye pressure reading came back extremely high (around the 60s). When Dr. Koreishi saw the reading, she appeared very alarmed and reacted with visible panic in front of me and the staff. She told me it could be glaucoma and described it as "gradually going blind," which was extremely frightening to hear without much explanation or reassurance.
I was referred to a glaucoma specialist the next day and spent the entire night extremely anxious and emotional, believing I might be losing my eyesight. After several hours of testing, the specialist told me that my eyes looked healthy.
While I appreciate that Dr. Koreishi took the high pressure seriously and referred me quickly, the way the situation was communicated caused a significant amount of unnecessary emotional stress. In situations like this, calm and supportive communication is incredibly important for patient
Dr Pat was very knowledgeable, professional and helpful as she prescribed and treated me. I'm assured her decisions will affect my healing. I do appreciate seeing her so quickly after contacting her office.
The most efficient physicians office in the DFW area. Highly professional. Dr. Ple-plankin brings a wealth of knowledge, care, and concern for her patients. Each visit is very positive and encouraging.
The physician & technicians were extremely thorough in the evaluation of my case and explaining/educating me on the details.
The surgery coordinator Ms. Trina, was extremely helpful and in constant contact to provide follow up to any questions I may have had.
I highly recommend cornea consultants as the entire team from start to finish has been the best to work with.
Honest Review of My Recent Visit
I recently visited this eye clinic, and while the clinical staff themselves were very friendly and pleasant to work with, the administrative side of the experience was extremely disappointing.
First, there was no clear communication regarding payment expectations. Patients are required to pay the entire balance in full at the time of service--no partial payments, no billing options. This was not communicated beforehand, which makes it very difficult for patients to plan or budget properly. Most offices inform you ahead of time or allow you to pay the remaining balance after insurance is processed, so this was both unexpected and frustrating.
Second, there was no advance notice about dilation. Whether or not your eyes will be dilated is important information, because it affects your vision afterward and may require arranging a ride. This should absolutely be communicated before the appointment, yet it wasn't mentioned until I was already there.
The wait times were also very poor. I waited about 25 minutes just sitting in the exam room alone for the doctor after already being there for 45 minutes. At no point did anyone inform me that the wait would be unusually long or delayed. At this point, i had become irritated and kind of took it out on the doctor because i was annoyed. When you're already at the office, make the drive made the payment who wants to just walk out, go through getting a refund or not continuing services. It's like they purposely put you in a position to where you choose to be seen no matter what happens and that is unfair.
Overall, the lack of communication and transparency around payment policies, dilation expectations, and wait times created an unnecessarily stressful experience. Friendly staff can only go so far when the administrative processes are this unorganized. For an eye care provider, clear communication should be a top priority, and unfortunately that was not the case during my
Dr. Koreishi and staff consistently provide excellent care and surgical skill. I am so thankful for my drastically improved vision following recent procedures.
The appointments are for my mom and with her limited vision, she can tell the staff her loves what they're doing. She learns their voices pretty quickly and she could tell the young lady that typically takes care her was not administering the test yesterday, but said the "new guy" is "sweet " also. Her words, not mine. Extremely professional and caring group.
