The whole experience was fantastic with Dr. Brooks and his staff. I just wish they would find ways to work with insurers to get the base lens cost applied towards the upgrades with cataract lenses. My insurer BCBS pays for the base lens regardless if I go with an upgrade or not, and state that it can be subtracted from the upgraded lens. With all that said, they provide top notch service and were very friendly.

I had an excellent eperience with Dr. Brooks, and the entire team from the first consultation, to pre-up, surgery and post-up. So far cataract surgery is done on the first eye, and the results are better than I thought possible, I had no idea how bad my vision had become, and I'm blown away with the results! My second surgery is in a few days, and I can't wait to have perfect vision on both eyes. This has been a life changer for me, and I'm blessed to have the opportunity to get it done at Brooks Eye Associates, it's all in one in one convenient place. Dr Broooks was professional and cared about getting me the best possible results, and explained every step. The staff at Dr. Brooks office were so friendly and professional. All with very calm demeanors. I was a tad nervous as I know many are when it comes to their eyes and all my questions were answers thoroughly putting me at ease. There is a lot to do during the 1st appointment but we got through it quickly and efficiently. Did not see Dr. Brooks at my most recent appt. I saw the optometrist. Have not seen Dr. Brooks since my 2nd cataract surgery. Not a pleasant experience due to his scratching my cornea with the instrument used to keep my eye open. As I left the surgery center blood was running down my left cheek. My right eye developed protein deposits at the incision to replace my new lense. Had severe reaction to the numerous eyedrops, causing inflammation & swelling. While Dr. Brooks is very professional & knowledgeable, my experience with cataract surgery was most unpleasant. And now I have more floaters & strings in both my eyes that I didn't have before.
