I was an existing patient of Dr. Motamarry before he joined this practice and continued to see him for my annual eye exam after making the move here. I say this without any exaggeration, Dr. Motamarry is the most kind, patient and knowledgeable Dr. I have ever seen for any reason. He actually listens to any questions or concerns that I have and is never rushed or dismissive of anything I ask. As long as I live anywhere in the DFW area I will continue to be patient of his! I also need to mention the amazing office staff at this location. Everyone from the front desk person to the eye techs are also always friendly and helpful.

I've been going to Newman & Taub Plano for over two decades now. Excellent service always! Marcy is most kind, helpful, personable, competent and knowledgeable. She always goes above and beyond. I know I'm in good hands whenever I have questions or need help from her. Dr. Taub is also great, so much so that he has been voted Top Doc. I support that award, he deserves it. I will continue to be a patient there and am grateful for their practice.

Newman & Taub is the best eye doctor's office I have ever been a patient of. They are reliable, efficient and knowledgeable. They know their stuff and every person in the office is friendly! I have been going to Dr Taub as a patient for over 20 years. When I had to deal with a potential eye emergency last week, they prioritized my need to be seen, were thorough and helped me identify the issue. If anything, they have gotten even BETTER over all these years. The office staff is THE BEST! I highly recommend Newman & Taub Plano!!!

I had a bad pain in my eye so I called for an appointment at 8:15am and got in at 9:10! Danielle got me in right away with Dr Motamarry. He was very professional, explained everything very well. I was very pleased. Also, he explained that I needed to come back for a check up because the medication may affect the pressure in my eye. I thought that was a very important detail because usually if the problem resolves itself, we go on with our life not knowing it could be dangerous. Great service!!

Always prompt and thorough in explaining treatment and options. Key staff have been in place for a long time, so they know their patients well. I've been a patient for 21 years and trust them completely.

Dr. Taub, Dr. Newman, Marcy, and the entire Plano staff are always so good to us. We have been going to this office for 26 years, and I won't let anyone else take care of our vision needs. They. Are. THE. BEST!

I was called in for exam at 9. The assistant did all the tests quickly. Then left me in a room for Dr taub to come by. It has been an hour. He hasn't come yet. I am missing over two hours of work, even though I am only 6 minutes away from work. I am very frustrated that no one has come in to check on me this last hour+.

My appointment today 11/21/2024 was Not what I expected, I usually go to Key Whitman , but I heard good things about Dr.Chu. I was there today because I wanted an eye exam as well as a contact and eye glasses prescription which is why I also asked Leslie who did all my test and refraction. I clearly asked Leslie if I could get the prescriptions there and she said YES. Towards the end of my appointment a staff member by the name of Iris said that Dr. Chu is a specialist and specializes on cataracts and therefore can NOT give me any kind of prescription. I was very disappointed because my sister in law is a patient of Dr. Chu and she recommended me to Dr.Chu and my sister in law herself said that sounded kind of ridiculous and odd because she has received a prescription there before. I asked more than once if I could get a prescription right then and there and that I'd pay anything I had to but I was turned down by Iris. I liked Dr. Chu but I don't know that I will be going back because I was expecting to walk out of my appointment with a prescription that I needed and I just wasn't expecting the outcome I received. I still think it's odd that I couldn't receive a prescription when someone I know has received a prescription during their appointment before . Why else would they include an optional refraction fee as part of the paperwork if they Don't do any kind of presentation??? All I was told after repeatedly asking for a prescription was "sorry we did not meet your expectations " . Please remove the refraction question of the paperwork if that's the case and the signs as well why falsely advertise something you don't offer or at-least not all doctors offer or are capable of doing ?
