Dr Kanukuntla was extremely patient & attentive! She listened to the issues I was having & gave me the different options to fix the issue. She also took the time to go over everything. I felt heard & not like I was in a cattle shoot & she was just trying to get me in & out. You can see she takes pride in what she does. Highly recommended her!

I recently visited Focus On Eyes and had a wonderful experience. The staff were really kind and welcoming, and the whole place felt calm and well-organized. Dr.K was extremely thorough, she not only did the regular eye exam but also explained about Binocular Vision Dysfunction (BVD) and checked if I had any symptoms related to it. I really appreciated how she took time to make sure I understood everything and answered all my questions patiently. They also have a great variety of frames, and the team helped me pick one that fit me perfectly. Overall, it was such a smooth and positive visit - definitely one of the best eye exams I've had. I'd highly recommend Focus On Eyes to anyone looking for professional and caring eye care.

I recently visited Focus on eyes and had a wonderful experience as alway. Dr, K was very detailed she's explain every steps of my diagnoses with professionalism. I been to focus on eyes over the passed 20 yrs. When Dr K took over the clinic I'm very skeptical not sure if I want to continue with focu on eyes,but once I met Dr. K she's putting me at ease. Her professionalism and skill are excellent. She's taking the time to explain to me in detail of my treatment. I just want to say thank you Dr. K taking care of my eyes. I'm very pleased w/ Dr. K & staff. Dr. K was very thorough & I never felt rushed during the exam. I asked to be fitted for contacts and explained how I was unhappy with the current lenses prescribed by another provider. She listened. I have worn contacts for over 20 years. I'm extremely happy with the contacts Dr. K prescribed; they are the most comfortable I've worn, no night vision issues, or difficulty applying or removing. I highly recommend Dr. K for her patience & precision.

I debated posting this review but ultimately landed on yes. I don't think I will ever return to Dr. K. When expressing very specific concerns about my eyes and experience, she constantly interrupted me and assumed she knew what I was going to say, to the point of it feeling dismissive. When someone tells you that your lived experience isn't true it can make you feel crazy. When figuring out the prescription for my right eye she told me to wear the trial for week then to come back to try the other strength/brand. I did but when I returned she refused to give me the 2nd contact like we'd discussed saying that she couldn't. She finally did after I asked why she would lie to me? It took her over a month and at least 5 calls to the store for her to simply send me the updated contact prescription, so I was forced to wear my broken glasses... for a month. I won't be back. --------- In Reply It's funny that Dr. K can respond to a public review in less than 48 hours but it took me calling at least once a week for a MONTH to get an updated prescription. This is 100% accurate regardless of what she says. Maybe I should've placed my request in a review initially. Furthermore, my frustration arose when she continuously interrupted me while I was explaining the problems I have with my right contact lenses, not with anything pertaining insurance; I'm having the same problem right now and that's one of the reasons I decided to leave the review when I did. But again, she seems to be clairvoyant and can tell people about their personal experiences. If only we were all that blessed and talented. I told her that I wore the trial pair of contacts for less than a week and stopped due to the same problem that I told her about during the exam. There were exactly 19 days between my initial visit and when I came back to store, because I was out of the country, which I told her I would be DURING THE EXAM. She was the only person I interacted with during the 1 hour I was there for the exam - there was no team to explain benefits. I only spoke with her that day. And yes, I did start reaching out in JULY for the updated prescription. I didn't receive it until August. I was already supposed to have it though. She never sent it after the trial pair. I was about to get another contact exam elsewhere, but thought no, she needs to send me what I've already paid for. I'm tired of service and healthcare providers giving different levels or service to different people and NOT LISTENING to patient concerns. I'm no longer letting it slide because it ends up costing more in the long run. Dr. K's knowledge about eyes is definitely there, but she needs to practice LISTENING TO PATIENTS!

Dr. K is lovely and really puts the effort in for prism glasses. I was referred by a family member and am not very good at reporting my own symptoms, but she doesn't rely solely on what the patient reports and instead is very observant and double checks everything. If you're thinking about prisms she is an excellent choice to get checked out for treatment!

When it comes to healthcare and other personal services, I've always been partial to smaller offices with a smaller staff, and more attention from the actual provider. When I met Dr. K, I knew I found my new eye doctor. I had been a previous patient of Focus on Eyes, but it was under different ownership. Dr. K answered her own phone when I called in, and was extremely helpful. She went out of her way to book a same-day appointment, and proceeded to spend lots of time answering my questions and finding the best solutions for my personal situation. Dr. K is well-educated and articulate, and quite empathetic. Quite simply, she is a kind person and I think you will like her. Truthfully, I had been considering the discount chains, but I just had a bad feeling about that. I'm sure there is good and bad but I just couldn't get beyond the negative reviews for places like Stanton Optical and America's Best. I feel much more comfortable with my choice, and I highly recommend Focus on Eyes for your vision needs.

Eye exam was thorough and the doctor explained any changes with my eyes. Plenty of options for glasses as well, so I was able to get a new pair.
