Sure beats the Aston Bldg in so many respects. Perhaps the lower volume reduces the strain on the cheerful front desk staff - friendlier than the HQ folks. Interestingly the three optical instruments that I encountered were not the high end Swiss or German ones that I am accustomed to but then I am not an ophthalmologist.
No compulsory valet parking here!!! Not because I don't want more people employed but because there is no explanation of how the mobile phone number data is used beyond the basic transaction.
There is a reasonably sized common cafeteria in the building a few steps away so UTSW does not need to brighten the day of patient or two with a cuppa. Is
Glad that UTSW is slowly (compared to other gorillas in the practice) developing satellite facilities radially.

Absolutely horrible experience. Arrived at0945 am for a 10 am appointment was not scene until after 12 pm and then had to wait more time because they did put in the right drops to dilate my eyes!! Did get finally get seen by doctor after 1220 pm for a 10 am appointment and then finally done at 1 pm!!! Don't waste your time at this clinic, no one cares about the patients or their appointments or families or time you took off work for an appointment!!!

Deceptive business practices. Was referred here to determine if difficulties with vision were a result of nerve damage behind my eyes. Went through entire appointment with several different tests. At check-out, was told I had to pay $97 since I was seen by an optometrist instead of an opthamologist, and optometry was not covered by my insurance. Referral from PCP was for opthamologist. No one ever bothered to tell me that I would be seeing an optometrist instead. I complained- no one cared. Definitely not up to UTSW standards of care.
