This is one of the best eye clinics i have been too, very professional and safe to use. The staff is very well trained and knowledgeable about your needs. However the doctor over the screen was very hard to understand considering she had an accent and i needed to be retested. no problem though. after the doctor checked me and everything, i went to go look at my glasses options, the staff lady helped me pick out glasses i loved and made me feel comfortable and valued. i will 100% be coming back!!

Low quality, ghetto, unprofessional, bad value for money, sketchy , NO REAL DOCTOR I usually don't write reviews but I had a frustrating experience and I am so surprised this place has 4.5 stars! how is this legal ? I had an appointment at 4:45, didn't get seen till about 30 minutes later and the process was so slow I was there till close. At my hometown doctor, I would be in and out within an hour. They charged $200 for both the contact lenses exam and the glasses exam, but you don't even see a real doctor. You see a doctor over a video chat - NOT even in person- which i found very strange. Why am I paying $200 to talk to A COMPUTER SCREEN? Btw, I did further research and the eye "doctor" does not have the same credentials as an optometrist in the US. They are a "refraction tech" in another country. I don't even think they have an optician on staff. HOW IS THIS LEGAL? Stanton Optical goes through insane loopholes to bypass state standards. this whole thing was so sketchy . It's the same price to go to another clinic and see a REAL doctor, They are charging premium prices for low quality/ budget resources. A comprehensive eye exam CANNOT be performed virtually.... if you look at the bad reviews for this place, many say their prescription is inaccurate. Paying money for the WRONG prescription and also messing up your eyesight even worse .... The staff also seemed quite unprofessional. Not smiling and kind of hostile. I felt very awkward. When I had a question, the lady (not sure her name) would look at me like I was stupid. She pressured me to buy contacts, and she told me she'll give me 50% off my exam if I buy contacts. Guess they get commission. I wanted to get out of there so I just purchased an order of contacts. I told her that I'll just buy the cheapest/ smallest quantity to get the discount, I don't even use that brand. But she kept adding excess quantity of contacts to the cart or trying to overcharge me. Everytime I corrected her she would look at me like I'm dumb and I felt super awkward. AND while checking out, her screen froze for about 30 minutes. But instead of switching to a new computer, we just sat there while she talked about a vacation she wants to go on... awkward silence. No one asked me for my insurance information so I paid out of pocket. The whole appointment took about 2 hours. Also, a week later my contact shipment arrived. At the appointment, they told me that they would reach out to me to let me know when to pick it up, but no one reached out. I had to call them and it shows that it was delivered 2 days ago... UPDATE: i just picked up my contacts. I ordered a 1-month supply of contacts and I just picked it up.... They ordered me 1 pair of contacts for my right eye ONLY. at checkout, she told me I was paying for a one-month supply of contacts for BOTH eyes. So I paid $30 for a pair of right eye contacts..... like i don't even have my left eye contact (i have 2 different prescriptions in my eyes) so the lady messed up my order but I don't even care cause im so annoyed. I'm never coming to this place again You can get better service, better value and quality for cheaper at other eye doctor clinics. The only pro is that they have open availability and allow walk ins, but clearly there's a reason why their availability is so open. I will never go back here. Waste of money and time

went here a couple months ago for some glasses, don't recommend due to "doctor" being over the screen which I had no idea. got my prescription and it was completely wrong guy in the front told me it'd take a few days to get used too but it was definitely not my prescription. went back to get retested when telling them it was wrong and they told me it was off by a little bit but once I got the new prescription I GAVE UP ON TRYING, I honestly should've have got a refund. doctors in person face to face is way better .

We really liked this place for products and eye exams. Then, one day we decided to use the payment plan for contact lenses. The manager that set us up reassured us that we would be making three automated payments to prevent interest with the 3rd party company Acima. After 3 payments, I noticed the payments continued. When I called to ask about it, they looked at the contract and noticed he didn't set us up correctly and we were scheduled to pay a lot of interest because we missed the deadline for the 3 payments. Plus, the contract stated we purchased glasses instead on contacts. They said they couldn't help us resolve this issue because we needed to complain to Acima. I stated that the mistake was made in their office and they should reach out to them. They refused. Acima instructed me that Stanton needed to resolve this. Both parties refused to take any accountability. Stanton was the one that made the mistake and refused to fix it. That manager was weird. He kept taking about his personal problems the whole time, very unprofessional and probably why he made so many mistakes in the contract. I get that sometimes there's that one employee who was unhelpful. What I don't understand is why all the other staff stand behind him tarnishing their company by not taking the responsibility to resolve this matter. I guess they are shady and we finally got unlucky.

Wow! If I had known about this place earlier I would have saved so much on my eye care. They're open on the weekends and have convenient hours (made the appointment Friday night was in by the next afternoon). Appointment was very quick and Veronica made everything go super smooth. They work with you even if you don't have insurance! Would highly recommend for affordable pricing and a large inventory.

Worst place to get glasses. Extremely rude and unprofessional. My glasses were crooked when I put them on so the manager grabbed them and bent them without heating them and they were ruined. Completely. The whole frame where the screw goes in was completely bent. Had an attitude when I called them out to ask for them to be fixed.

I took my daughter to get contacts, and the lady lied to me and told me that she would get 2 years worth of contacts for $245 with a free I exam when I went to get the contacts, I found out they lied to me. I don't recommend going here

I went to the Stanton optical in San Angelo Tx. This place is deceptive with their advertising. I went in and paid for an eye exam for myself and my daughter. The receptionist asked for my information and I provided the information. She couldn't enter the information and yet asked multiple times for the basic information I had already given her. I paid for the exam and glasses and contacts on November 22nd and I was told it would be ready to pick up the order November 26th. So I never heard anything from them on November 26th. I drive by the location and I asked the associate about my order and he tells me that that just shipped and would be in friday November 28th. I drive by the office on November 28th to check the status and the young pregnant lady said the order didn't come in. Well fast forward to December 2nd I get a text that my partial order has arrived and is ready for pick up on my daughter's glasses and my glasses minus the contacts that were still not delivered. I drive 22 miles 1 way to the store in San Angelo Tx to get the glasses. I arrived at the office and I am greeted by the pregnant lady and was asked "what do you want"? That's not professional as I paid hard earned money for glasses and a service to be treated like I am bothering them by my presence. I told her I was there to get 2 of the 3 orders as I received a text 2 of the 3 of the order supposedly arrived. She asked me my name and phone number and I gave her the information and I offered to give her the 2 order numbers I received via text. She she "I don't need that". Well she dissappears for about 15 minutes and comes back and asked me for the order numbers because she wants to be sure Im not taking someone else's glasses order. I gave her the order numbers and she disappeared again for another 5 minutes and comes back with 1 pair of glasses. She said put them on and it's gonna be a fish bowl effect. Every time I tried to tell her the glasses frames were not the ones I originally ordered and the prescription was wrong because I couldn't see with the new glasses she would talk over me or cut me off. She said blink 3 times and give it a week and I will adjust to the new glasses. These things were so bad I had to take them off because I couldn't judge my distance or read anything legible. I got a severe headache and eye strain from the glasses. I go back today December 3rd to get my money back. The heavy set lady did not give me my full amount back. I never received the whole order. The lens and exam were incorrect and wouldnotrefund my exam and said I signed in on an i pad in the vack. Well there was nothingstated or writtenthe exam was non refundable whetheri signeditin the back or the front or on their roof or in the parking lot. She tried every possible way to deter a refund and offered a free exam. Well if they got it wrong from the beginning what makes you think they are gonna make it correct for the "free retest". Well the end of this horrible experience is they did give me a refund receipt but i have not seen the refund go back into my account as I will patiently wait a couple days to see if they will stand by their word. I Highly do not recommend them for exams or eye wear. It's sketchy as there is no doctor to found as the techs are providing the exams and I was under the understanding that you have to be a certified doctor to perform or prescribe Eyewear.
