I have been visiting this location on and off for almost 25 years. I recently scheduled an appointment online, including my insurance information, and received a confirmation the next day through an automated A.I. system. The day before my appointment, I received a call from Eye Trends and assumed it was another confirmation. I left work early and rushed through traffic to make it on time, only to be informed that my insurance was not accepted at this location. The receptionist claimed the voicemail had explained this. As a teacher, I cannot answer calls during class, so I relied on the message. When I got home and reviewed the voicemail, there was no mention of my insurance being an issue--it was strictly an appointment confirmation. I am not sure how or when this communication failure occurred, but I will not be returning to this location. While I take responsibility for not checking the voicemail sooner, there is clearly a significant breakdown in communication between the establishment and the client.

I've been going here for years. The doctors change out every so often, but I've never had a bad experience. The staff are friendly and you can tell the doctors care about their patients. I live in Austin, and drive back because I'm so pleased with the service.
I will say though, when they started my most recent appointment, they thought I was a new client. I let them know I was not, and they quickly resolved it. Odd that it happened, but they resolved it so no harm done.

I had my eyes checked on 1/20/25. I got a new pair of glasses in 2/25. I scratched them in April and I was told by receptionist that even though I had bought scratch resistant it did not cover my scratch. When asked about how much it would cost to get the 1 lens that should have been covered fixed, I was told more than $900.00. I will never use this company even though I liked the optician. I want to make sure everyone knows they do not back their products and the receptionist seems lazy.

They fit me in for a last-minute early appointment, and the entire team worked efficiently to get me in and out in under 90 minutes, including ordering frames so I could return to the DPS the same day. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and took time to
answer my questions. The doctor explained things no one had ever mentioned before, which helped me better understand my eye health. Highly recommend amazing service from start to finish!

This place is horrible. The staff is rude and unprofessional. Trust me there are much more pleasant places you can go to that offer an excellent customer experience. For an example, Vision Works, TSO, My Eye Dr., Sam's or Target.
