I had such a great experience at Klinewood Optical! This appointment was for my granddaughter, and from the moment we started, everything was seamless. When I called, the lady on the phone was so kind, helpful, and got us scheduled right away.
When we arrived, the gentleman who also works at Walgreens greeted us--and he is the sweetest, warmest soul. He made us feel genuinely welcomed, like he was truly happy to see us. And no, I'm not getting paid to say any of this--our experience here was truly chef's kiss wonderful.
I'll definitely be returning, and I'll be bringing my husband next time. The frame selection is pretty good--nothing too funky or wild (which I personally love), but a nice mix of simple, clean, everyday styles.
Overall, highly recommended!
I typically don't leave negative reviews, but I felt it was important to share my experience to hopefully help others.
I visited this office on June 25th hoping to get help with a scratch on my glasses lens. Unfortunately, I left feeling dismissed and uncomfortable. When I was initially speaking to another employee, and she couldn't see the scratch, she went to the back to ask for help, and a different employee walked out, visibly irritated. The staff member I interacted with, Nick the salesman, was condescending, adverse, and unsettling. I tried to explain my concerns calmly, but I didn't feel listened to or respected.
He was aggressive from the very beginning, telling me to mark the scratch because he believed I was making it up. His tone, very angry and accusatory, left an unfortunately strong impression on me. I am seriously surprised he didn't have smoke blowing out of his ears. But why would someone, especially a long term client, make up something like that? I have other things to do with my day that do not include going somewhere seeking assistance just to be treated like I am below someone.
When I left, I easily found the scratch in outdoor lighting and took pictures, documenting it with a Live Photo, because I felt I needed to completely cover my "proof" in case he tried to tell me I was lying again.
Dr. Nguyen said he would be able to replace the lens (without needing to see it in person, he is a great doctor with integrity, which makes it even more upsetting that people like Nick represent his practice), so the next day when I headed there to drop my glasses off, I had to drive around listening to music to hype myself up and calm my nerves, because I was expecting to be treated poorly again.
When I initially went in with this problem, I was honestly not expecting much, because this employee has been rude before. But this time was much more intense and left me feeling insulted, belittled, and angry. Maybe if I had bought these frames directly from Nick, so he would have received commission and not brought in my own pair, I would have been treated with respect. Who knows. I have honestly tried to rationalize why someone would treat others this way, but after analyzing what I could have done better in this situation, there was absolutely nothing on my end that was deserving of this kind of blatant disrespect.
I understand that not every interaction will be perfect, but I walked away feeling worse than when I arrived, which shouldn't happen at any medical office; especially one that involves your health and comfort. Again, Dr. Nguyen is wonderful, thorough, and compassionate; and I am appreciative that my lens was replaced, but it is a shame that he is represented by someone like that.
I hope this feedback helps the office improve how they handle communication and treat patients, especially those who may be more sensitive or just trying to advocate for themselves.
Service was awesome, I'm in and out without any delays. I've been using this service for the past few years and I'm very happy with the hospitality. I love the fact that when I need an appointment, I can just go within a couple of days. They take care of my family as well.
Unfortunately I didn't have the greatest experience as a new customer. I had to come back twice due to incorrect prescriptions and simply not being able to see out of the lenses. The assistant tried to gaslight me, just till the end to say that I was correct and the lab messed up. Awful experience.
I first came to Kleinwood Vision in 2016, and after seeing several other eye care professionals over the years, I've learned something very clearly: Dr. Nguyen is the only doctor I trust with my eyes.
My vision needs are not straightforward. I've had corrective surgery for a lazy eye, I have astigmatism, and I wear progressive lenses--conditions that require more than a routine exam or a standard approach. Getting eyewear right for me takes finesse, careful thought, and real analytical skill. Dr. Nguyen consistently brings all of that to the table. He takes the time to think through the details instead of rushing through an appointment.
What truly sets Dr. Nguyen apart is the difference between an eye doctor who simply goes through the motions and one who is genuinely passionate about the craft of vision care. His attention to detail and problem-solving approach make all the difference. Because of that, I wouldn't trust my eyes to anyone else.
If you want it warmer, more clinical, or slightly shorter for Google's preview cutoff, I can adjust it in one pass.
I must say I had the most pleasant experience at Kleinwood Vision! The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive! The Dr. was very mild mannered and kind as well! I would definitely recommend Kleinwood vision for your vision needs! I especially appreciate them getting me in at the last minute. Thank you Kleinwood vision!!!
My Daughter did not want to wear her glasses and kept saying they made her feel like the ground was moving or some sort. Turns out, her left eye prescription was off and it added to her discomfort. The Dr. asked her the right questions and determined that her previous prescription was wrong. He issued a new one and it made the biggest difference in my daughter's ability to see with 20/20 vision. He also helped coach my other daughter feel at ease about the eye exam (she was super nervous). He was very professional and knew exactly how to keep the kid's feeling at ease during the entire process. Very grateful for all the staff's help too! I HIGHLY recommend him!
Scheduling appointments is very easy and they understand the urgency of emergency appointments which has been incredibly helpful. They truly care about my concerns, take the time to listen, and always offer solutions. I feel supported and confident in the care I receive.
