Baylor Scott & White Pavilion - Temple

When patients are expected to arrive 15-20 minutes before their appointment, it is very frustrating when the office is not running on time. My mother had a 2:45 appointment, we drove over an hour to get here from Austin. She got in line for check in just before 2:30. It was 250 before she got to the check in counter, and was told appointments are running AT LEAST an hour behind if not longer. She was just called after 4 o'clock for her 2:45. You should have called us by 1 pm and asked if we wanted to reschedule, or that we didn't need to be here til later. That didn't happen. Patients get their appointments canceled if they are late, yet are expected to just accept when you don't uphold your side of the appointment agreement. Very disappointed in y'all today.

Do NOT come here for LASIK. Waited 3 hours first appointment with minor tests done just for Dr. Eshbaugh to not be available. Came back for a second appointment and they failed to tell me I couldn't wear contacts 3 days before the appointment. Waste of time, go anywhere else if you can

The fact that we made an appointment 1 month ahead of time and we were not warned that they do not accept cash is outrageous the lady named nickey Mathew's is rude !!! And. Very rude to older people !! The disrespect is absurd and they said she was the supervisor to take that title and act like its trash is beyond me !! And she cant get another appointment scheduled for 1 month over some cash !!!! Like excuse me !! Every customer needs to be informed!!! Not everyone one carries a debit card!! Especially older people !!! That is beyond unacceptable!!! Especially when you live an hour away !!!!!!

My experiences with this clinic have been amazing. The ladies up front and checking out are always friendly and welcoming. I have been dealing with a really stubborn case of uevitis so I am in this office a couple of times a month and Dr. Barber, Dr. McMillan, and Dr. Broxton have all been wonderful and helpful throughout this process. Highly recommend!

They have ophthalmologists and an optics store here. I've been seeing the same specialist since 2018 when I moved to Temple. They accept debit and credit cards, although they prefer if you prepay through their app when you do the eCheck-in. And they have great bathrooms that are handicapped-accessible.

Both the optometrist and ophthalmologist I saw seemed impatient and unfriendly, but I foolishly went ahead with my cataract surgery. I was under the false impression that even if BSW wasn't the friendliest or most efficient, they would be safe. I was proven so wrong with the mistakes surrounding my surgery. When I followed the Speak Up policy and let the surgeon know, he was defensive, deflecting, and tried to coerce me into general anesthesia for the next procedure. It felt threatening, as though he wanted to shut me up for complaining. While anesthesiology called to apologize for their mistakes, ophthalmology has not bothered. This absolutely is NOT a safe place to have your surgery, especially since the Speak Up policy is a farce in ophthalmology. EDIT TO ADD that when my insurance would not cover any other local surgical center, I had to return to BSW to have surgery number two with Dr. Eshbaugh. He was 100x more professional than Dr. Morgan had been, and while communication was still poor this surgery went much better. That department seems to be very poorly managed but you might get lucky and find a physician with professionalism and integrity.

Lisa was awesome. I had eye surgery and for the next 3 visit she checked me in with a smile. Beautiful person. My doctor was excellent also.

Need more personnel to check patients in. The line is down the sidewalk and we have 2 people working the front desk. There is room for 7 people to work the desk. How are you suppose to get to your appointment on time? I was here 45 minutes before check in and 10 patients in front of me. I did make my appointment, but if I had tried checking in 15 minutes before my appointment like instructed, I would have not made my appointment. Saw Dr. Parish and he was awesome! He gets 5 stars! I've seen 3 doctors there and they all have been awesome.
