If I could rate this place lower than one star, I would. I don't usually take the time to write reviews, but the level of incompetence and lack of basic human consideration shown here needs to be known. I've worn contact lenses for over 20 years. My prescription has been stable for the last 7+ years (around -4.00), and without contacts I am essentially blind. Eight days ago, I became a new parent. One of my contacts tore and I lost it, leaving me unable to see during an extremely important and stressful time when I need to help care for my newborn daughter and support my wife. I called this office to order replacement contacts and, in the meantime, requested a temporary pair something I have been given many times in the past during emergencies. I was told I could not order contacts without a yearly eye exam, which I understood, and I scheduled the soonest appointment I could while juggling work and multiple newborn-related appointments. However, I still urgently needed a temporary pair just to function. The receptionist told me she needed doctor approval but said she saw no reason it would be denied given the circumstances. She told me the doctor was at lunch and assured me she would call me back once she returned. That call never happened. Because I cannot drive without vision, my mother who was already driving to Houston to see me and my newborn stopped by to pick up the temporary pair. At that point, the office refused to provide it because my eye exam was technically past due, despite an appointment already being scheduled for the following Tuesday. This has never been an issue in the past. Temporary lenses are commonly provided as a short-term solution, especially in emergency situations like this. Instead, I was left completely unable to see during one of the most critical times of my life. To make matters worse, I originally called at 9:07 AM, just minutes after they opened. Somehow, there was no follow-up call the entire day. The lack of communication, compassion, and basic professionalism is truly mind-boggling. This experience felt cold, money-driven, and completely dismissive of a patient's real-world needs. I strongly recommend anyone seeking eye care look elsewhere there are plenty of practices that treat patients with competence, empathy, and common sense.

Everyone here was amazing. Kristie took me for my initial tests and was so thorough and explanatory with everything. Dr. Vallery went through a comprehensive exam and was the first eye doctor to ever have me look at things with my glasses to get a sense of how they are working for me. She walked me through everything she did and the results. Tyler took so much time with me afterwards to go through frames and lens options. I am so thrilled to have found Lifetime Eyecare!!

Dr. Grisel Lagunas was amazing. She listened to the reason I visited her practice. Her team made me feel cared about. Everyone knew exactly what they were doing and her practice is very organized. Thank you!

I had the best experience going for my vision check up and prescription glasses and contacts today. I never felt rushed, was able to ask questions and get all the answers I needed. Dr. Lagunas and staff were very thorough and Cecilia was amazing at helping me pick the best frames! I will recommend them to all my friends and neighbors

The entire staff is professional, courteous and friendly. Dr Vallery is focused on my long term vision health and what steps we can take to ensure that outcome.

I saw Dr. Romero who did a wonderful job. I have advanced Kerataconus and have encountered extreme difficulties with getting a decent scleral lense for my left eye, but Dr. Romero was able to get me fitted and back to 20/30 vision.

I've been a patient at Lifetime Eyecare for nearly 10 years, and unfortunately, today's visit left me very disappointed. Over the years, the number of tests and "extra" diagnostic gadgets has steadily increased, and so have the costs. I came in today for additional testing after my annual exam showed a few areas of concern. My annual exam and glasses were covered by my Vision Plan, but the additional tests performed today were not covered by either my vision or medical insurance. I was not informed of this beforehand. All the tests--some of which were repeated from my annual exam--were completed before anyone mentioned that they would be out-of-pocket expenses. At checkout, the total was over $800. Even after removing the products they added (eye mask, vitamins, and drops), the bill was still around $700. Had I known these tests were not covered and had I been told the cost upfront, I would not have agreed to them. While the staff is friendly and polite, the lack of transparency around pricing and insurance coverage is unacceptable. Patients deserve to know what they are agreeing to (both medically and financially) before services are performed. As a family of four, we will not be returning. This experience does not reflect the kind of "lifetime" eyecare relationship I expected.

Very pleased with: - advanced technology in screenings - thoroughness of doctor exam & explanation of eye health - doctors not rushing, taking time to answer questions (we saw Dr. Romero & Dr. Martinez(peds)) - patience and warmth to kids, being able to do alternate screenings for those machine screenings young kids have trouble with - staff being professional - Audelia helping find the right frames and glasses options - so patient and super informative - availability of different myopia and dry eye treatments that aren't super common in other places - good frame selection - good contact lens selection for dry eye.
