Woodlands Eye Associates - Medical Plaza Office

I have been a patient of the Woodlands Eye Associates and Dr Ginger Brown for six years. I have always had a great experience. The stall is professional, friendly and thorough, and I consistently feel well cared for. Highly satisfied with the service and overall experience.

I went to the clinic without an appointment and the staff was so caring that managed to have my eye exam done in no time! The doctor explained my condition and next steps to take. Great experience

I made the mistake of selecting this provider outside my Aetna Medicare plan. I should have booked my appointment with an ophthalmologist who would covered everything. Live and learn. The exam was covered but not my lenses even using my glasses existing frames. The bill as over $900! What a ripoff!

This was my first time at this eye doctor clinic it runs like a well oiled machine. Everyone had a duty and they performed it nice. The wait was not long at all. Very pleased.

Dr Brown is excellent--thorough and easy to communicate with. The office is organized and Karen in optical is wonderful to work with. I've been a patient here for over 30 years and have always had excellent care.

This is a totally professional eye clinic...I've been with a Doctor there...Dr. Michael Toups for over 20 years...he's Fantastic...very thorough...very knowledgeable...he takes his time and is up to date on Modern Technology...if you're interested in one of The Best...Look no further!!! My experience at Woodlands Eye Associates at Medical Plaza Dr. was great. I had a very extensive eye exam which I hadn't had in years. They took the time to listen and then proceeded to correct the problem. Mona was also very helpful in helping to choose my frames. I will definitely be back and would highly recommend them.

This was my third year using Woodlands Eye Associates, but my first visit to the Medical Plaza office. While the medical portion of the appointment was fine, I was very disappointed at checkout. What I was told would be only a quote for new glasses for my son was actually processed as a charge to my credit card, and the amount billed for the visual exam did not take my insurance into account. When I asked for clarification, the front desk explained that the glasses were charged because the salesperson entered them as a sale rather than a quote, and that my insurance would not cover the exam because they are considered specialists and do not perform "routine annual exams," which is what my insurance covers, although it was clearly a routine exam as we have been doing it for the last three years. The process itself felt unsettling: they hold your prescription until you meet with their glasses salesperson, and they omit the Pupillary Distance (PD) from the prescription unless you purchase glasses through them--despite the fact that the same lenses and frames can be purchased online for a fraction of their price. Because of these practices, I won't be returning to The Woodlands Eye Associates as I felt that the overall experience was misleading and somewhat dishonest.
