Outstanding Ophthalmologic Care - From a Fellow Physician As a physician myself, I am exceptionally selective when choosing my own doctors. I research thoroughly before making an appointment because training, experience, and clinical rigor matter far more than titles. I am willing to travel to be treated by the best of the best--and that is exactly what we found with Dr. Beau Swann. My wife and I received one of the most comprehensive and thorough eye evaluations either of us has ever experienced. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this practice operates at an extremely high level. The staff, technicians, and optometrist were all exceptionally well trained, efficient, and knowledgeable. The technology used throughout the exam was truly state-of-the-art, and more importantly, it was used thoughtfully to both perform and interpret an incredibly detailed evaluation. Every aspect of the exam was explained clearly and in depth. Time was taken to review findings, discuss implications, and answer questions without any sense of being rushed. As someone who runs a private medical practice myself, I was genuinely impressed--and I learned several things that we can improve upon in our own practice based on what I observed in Dr. Swann's office. Waco is extremely fortunate to have a nationally recognized eye surgeon and thought leader of Dr. Swann's caliber so close to home. I would recommend him without hesitation to patients, colleagues, and family members alike.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Brazo Eye Surgery of Texas. From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional. My appointment was quick, informative, and so comforting. Dr. Swann was exceptional. He took the time to explain everything in a way that was easy to understand and made sure I felt completely informed every step of the way. He was extremely thorough and never made me feel rushed. You can truly tell he cares about his patients and wants them to feel confident in their decisions. By the time I left, I had never felt more certain and confident that I chose the right clinic, the right staff, and the right doctor for my eye surgery. I was very impressed by the assistance we (my husband, he's the patient, and myself) received the minute we walked into the clinic. We were escorted quickly to an exam room where he was asked a lot of info and he had a thorough eye exam. Then he saw Dr Swan. This optometrist showed my husband and I some of the things going on with his eyes that needed to be given immediate attention very soon. I was very impressed by this Doctor and all the staff their to assist my husband with his issues with his health and his eyesight.

My visit Brazos Eye Surgery of Texas has consistently provided great service to me on each visit. The staff are always friendly and professional. The service was prompt and the atmosphere was clean and pleasant. I was impressed with the amount of time required for me to be prepared to see the doctor I was in the waiting area for only a few minutes before I was called back for my eye exam and it wasn't long before I was seen by Dr. Titanus and he is amazing courteous and professional but also friendly and positive I would highly recommend these professionals to my friends and family to this office for their services!

I was referred here by a friend who assured me that if was worth the 2.5 hour drive each way- he was right. The entire staff was attentive, understanding and patient during the entire visit. I was seen by Dr Swann and he was extremely kind and considerate and listened to me. I really appreciate the time he took with me and would recommend Brazo's Eye Surgery.

I thought I was going blind with eyesight that continued to worsen with each day. I have diabetic retinopathy so, I had come to the conclusion this was to be my fate. My retinologist sent me to Dr. Beau Swann for removal of cataracts from both eyes and Lord I am so grateful! We were hoping for some improvement but never imagined how much my vision would improve. I have 20/20 vision once again and only use readers to read. Thanks to Dr Swann and his wonderful staff for giving me my life back!

LONG...What a journey it has been and it's far from over! It all started with an extremely severe eye infection that a local ER did not diagnose or treat properly and did not refer me to an Opthamologist. After visiting the ER and being told that "if I'm not better in a week, come back", I knew that the infection in my eye was far more serious than even I had imagined. I was able to get in immediately at Brazos Eye Surgery...on a Friday! ...and although Dr. Swann was out of the office for a week, Dr. Tanous immediately realized that if I had not decided on my own to seek a specialist, I very well could have not only lost my eyesight, but my eye as well. Dr. Tanous got me in immediately to see the Retina specialist here in Waco to ensure that the infection had not reached the Retina and from there, I was referred to a Cornea Specialist in Dallas early the next morning. As expected, I had a very serious bacterial infection and made trips to Dallas almost daily until Dr. Swann returned to the office. Both Dr. Tanous and Dr. Swann were very honest with me...I was told that they could not promise that they could save my eye much less give me my eyesight back. It has been a very tedious and time consuming ordeal, with visits to see Dr. Swann weekly for many months until the infection was cleared. I must say that these two have really been my heroes. This has been on going for 17 months now with multiple surgical procedures including cornea transplants and although I don't have my vision restored just yet, this most recent transplant has given me more hope than I've had throughout the ordeal. What I can say without the slightest doubt is that when it comes to the eyes, Dr. Beau Swann is extremely knowledgeable and certainly is as capable of performing those procedures as any big city surgeons...and this coming from the very person who, when I first met Dr. Swann, I thought to myself "oh hell no, this guy is younger than both of my kids...what could he know!" Over the course of time, I came to realize that Dr. Beau Swann is brilliant at what he does and I'm pretty sure that the few setbacks that we've experienced has him even more determined than ever to restore my vision...even at times when I have all but given up. The staff are all friendly and helpful. A few of the technicians who have been there a while are quite knowledgeable themselves and that is no small task considering everything they need to keep up with. Although the wait times can be long at times, it's not surprising and almost expected. And Brad...Brad has been my Angel and hand holder on more than one occasion where my anxiety wouldn't stay in check. I sincerely appreciate his calming presence more than I can express. From Dr. Swann, down to the receptionist, each plays a particular part in the whole experience and I'm impressed with how well each seamlessly works in unison.
