Lone Star Family Vision

Having vision tested is always great. Been using for years. However, this last time it took over a month for me to get my new eyeglasses with no explanation as to why it took this long and no phone call when they were ready. I had to keep calling weekly to be told not ready and would be ready the next week and then they were not. Will continue to use to have vision tested as they are open on Saturdays but will have my prescription filled elsewhere.

I get really shy and closed off when I go to any type of medical appointments. The whole staff made me feel welcomed and at home. We laughed the whole time I was there and when trying on glasses, they were completely honest about what worked and what didn't work. They WILL NOT let you walk out feeling unsatisfied with what pair of glasses you've picked out. The doctor I saw was also honest and laid information for me in a clear and respectful manner. The two young people that helped me out were absolutely amazing and made me feel at home. Smiled the whole time and were so sweet and forthright with the whole experience. Thank you Lone Star!!

Customer service was excellent. Great staff, professional from start to finish. Every question i asked was answered. They really took the time to explain everything and made sure I was comfortable throughout the process. The selection of frames was great, and I found the perfect pair. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a professional and caring team for their family's eye care needs!

Family owned and operated with a caring staff. Wide selection of frames with glasses in a week or less. Clean and organized office and exam area. Takes most major vision insurance.

So I was going elsewhere to purchase new glasses due to it being cheaper. Well I called and asked if they could fax my prescription over to the place I was and was told it would be sent over immediately. Then, after waiting for about 20-25 minutes with no fax received, I called again asking it they would just email it to me to make things go by faster and also to remind them about sending the fax. They said no problem, they'd get right on it and hung up. Waited another 15-20 minutes with no fax or email. Finally had to put my new glasses appointment on hold (thankful for that customer service representative being very understanding and patient with me) and drive to Lone Star to get a copy of my prescription. When I arrived, there was another customer in front of me talking with the doctor and a male receptionist (not who I talked to on the phone either time). While waiting for about 20 minutes for them to finish up chatting and answering her questions, the main receptionist (also not who answered when I called) came back from what I presumed was her break, quickly wrote down my prescription, and told me to have a nice day. 1 hour to get my prescription that could have been solved with a quick 5 minute fax time. Poor service on the female receptionist that did take my call both times. This is sad because when I first went back in September to get my eye exam, I had no troubles with them and they were all very friendly.

I had purchased a set of frames from a different chain and was so unhappy with them. I walked in to Lone star explained the situation and they were able to adjust them on the spot no charge. Super friendly staff. Thank you again!

Everyone here is wonderful, except for the older woman with glasses and a mullet that works at the front. Don't expect to be acknowledged by her, but do expect her to tell a coworker to take care of you instead. Expect her to not be able to find your file, your order of contacts or glasses, or even your insurance no matter how much information you give her. Again, everyone else is beyond exceptional and an absolute delight to deal with.
