I am more than impressed with my LASIK results from Dr. Heather Broyles. From start to finish, the entire team was incredibly communicative and made sure I understood exactly what to expect before, during, and after the procedure, which put me completely at ease.
Dr. Broyles is outstanding, and her tech Brittany is the absolute best--knowledgeable, reassuring, and genuinely kind. Their care and attention made the whole experience seamless.
The results have been truly life-changing. I can see 20/20--possibly for the first time in my life--and I don't need readers anymore. If you visit their website, I highly recommend watching my reaction video--I was so instantly happy with my results that I cried. That video says it all. I couldn't be happier and would recommend Dr. Broyles and her team to anyone considering LASIK.
As a newly diagnosed Sjogren's patient I was told I must see an ophthalmologist for an evaluation and thorough eye exam. I was terrified because my last experience with a dilation exam 30 years ago was a bit traumatic. I hadn't had a dilated exam since and I stressed so much about coming to my appointment that I almost cancelled it.
I'm so glad I came because Dr. Broyles and her assistant, Ashleigh, were incredible. They took such good care of me and let me take my time with the tests. Ashleigh walked me through each test with compassion and put me at ease while administering the eye drops. She made sure I was comfortable the whole time. Nothing was painful. They were both so gentle and caring that it completely changed the way I feel about eye care now.
I learned a lot about my eyes, and Dr. Broyles even took time to educate me on Sjogren's and caring for my eyes as this is all still fairly new. I never felt rushed and their front desk staff were very friendly and professional. I can't recommend Dr. Broyles enough. If you are scared of eye exams, Lake Austin Eye is the place to come!
I am highly impressed with Lake Austin Eye, their doctors, and excellent staff! Dr. Cottle did my cataract surgery, and my results far exceeded my expectations! When I went in for my first consultation, I inquired about both the premium lens replacement and the monovision option. After a series of state-of-the-art tests, Dr. Cottle did not consider me a prime candidate for the premium lens due to indentations in my eye membranes that could cause too much light diffusion. Since one of my eyes has always been better for distance and the other for close-up, she felt I was an ideal candidate for monovision, and she gave me the option of undergoing an astigmatism correction so I would not need glasses! I greatly appreciate her expertise, honesty, and conservative approach, which achieved an outstanding outcome! The lenses she chose were the enVista Aspire, which is excellent for distance and mid-vision. Also, in researching this lens, it is not prone to having glare or halo effects afterwards. My other eye received a Tecnis DCB00 lens, which is superb for reading and the computer. Everyone at their office is extremely friendly, informative, and reassuring, as is the staff at the Falconhead Surgery Center. I have never seen better in my life. Thank you SO much, Dr. Cottle and staff!
Love Dr. Broyles and her staff. She has a confidence and a caring manner that helps to relieve the natural anxiety that comes from eye surgery. Feel very fortunate to have been recommended to her practice.
This latest set of visits revolved around cataract surgery in one eye at the hands of Dr. Broyles. As usual, the doctor was highly knowledgable and informative, and presided over a successful treatment. The staff helped immensely with ample helpful information. Over the years, we have had the same excellent care from Dr. Cottle. Lake Austin Eye is tops!
My experience here was so nice. The staff is kind and helpful. I just loved Dr. Broyles, she help me understand the procedure and made me feel very confident in her care. Everything went fantastic with the cataract removal and I am very happy to give this Dr. a high rating!
Dr Cottle was simply phenomenal in completing my cataract surgery with IOLs (multi-focal lens)... and HIGHLY recommend. Painless procedure, great communications, ... and most important, my vision is ultra clear near and far!! Have to admit I had some anxiety around the procedure and outcomes... but couldn't be happier.
Dr Heather Broyles manner is so empathetic, warm and uniquely caring. After four months with other doctors my symptoms could not be identified correctly. Dr Broyles diagnosis came in the initial fifteen minutes of my first visit. Her therapy has been amazingly effective. And she is peerless in the OR. She also caught another potential disease and recommended a retinal doctor who was able to catch my issues early and treat them effectively. I always look forward to my appointments with Dr Broyles and consider her a friend. I feel extremely fortunate to be in her care. I recommend her and Lake Austin Eye without reservation to anyone and everyone.
