We have been at Optical Express Belfast for a cataract operation for daddy... from the very first phone call looking for help and support we felt as ease all was explained in details to us.. when we arrived the place is comfortable and clean and the staff are amazing.. dad treatment went amazingly and he never had any issues.. they provided us with a follow up appointment after his cataract surgery and they provided all eye drops that was required.. I would highly recommend Optical Express to everyone and have been telling all my friends and family how good it is... excellent service money well spent
This has been a life changer for me, instead of switching between two pairs of glasses I'm now able to read books and see clearly into the distance.
I can't praise the staff in Belfast enough, seriously, they're the most welcoming, caring and professional bunch and they made this journey, cos it is a journey, worth it.
You won't be seeing clearly immediately, you will have periods of blurred vision, itchy eyes and dry eyes but after 4 to 6 weeks you'll be amazed by how good this procedure has made your vision. I now have better than 20/20 vision. Worth every penny!
I had a caterat removed from my eye this week. My vision was so bad . Got appointment very fast and I was all done with in 7 weeks . The staff were so friendly in Belfast . From the very first appointment. Would highly recommend them . Made me feel so at ease . . And it's. Only been three days . And it has changed my life allready xx
Second surgery at Belfast
I got my first one done at 21 in the older clinic so regression was inevitable, the top up I got done was the same as my original procedure lasek but at the new location. All went well, I didn't realise how bad my regression actually was, although I was still legal to drive, the top up was well worth it! I'd compare it from moving from standard definition TV to 4K.
Everything was described well to me, the place was spotless and the staff were brilliant throughout and everything was explained very well and they ensured I understood what to expect.
Aftercare itself for lasek is brutal for around 72 hours, I lasted 48 hours without the painkilling drops but once they were used the following 48 hours and the rest of healing was an absolute breeze.
If you are wanting to get the surgery done I recommend that you do! I've seen some horror story reviews on here but honestly both times I had surgery here the clinic was exceptional, there is always a risk with any type of surgery that you get done and they are pretty upfront about this.
Friendly professional staff at Optical Express, Belfast. Made to feel at ease from day one on arrival for my first consultantation for lens replacement surgery. Delighted with the results and aftercare that I have received. A special thank you to my surgeon on the day, Dr Huba Kiss and his team. I would have no hesitation in recommending Optical Express if you are considering lens replacement surgery.

You'll not regret it .
Attended the Belfast clinic yesterday for a consultation. First class service from all of the staff, especially Jenny. I was a little apprehensive about the prospect of lens replacement surgery. However, I found it to be an extremely informative, straightforward and pleasant experience.Delighted at the prospect of clear vision again, thanks guys!
Visited the Belfast branch for my assessment for lens replacement. They were extremely thorough, I think I had about 12 different scans before seeing the optician. Tiarnan was excellent and explained everything as we went from scan to scan. Unfortunately, when I saw the optician (same visit) she detected that I had a 'floater' in my left eye which had caused a small pucker in my retina. Because of this, she informed me that a lens replacement would probably cause glaring and would be not worth it. I was disappointed that I wasn't suitable but they were very honest.
Don't hesitate to get an assessment, you're in the best of hands!
