I have never had glasses before so didn't really understand my prescription or what I would need. Luckily, Leighton's from start to finish and even when I needed a new pair were extremely helpful and it made the whole process easy!

I will only ever use Clapham Optical, they are comprehensive in their customer care, the examination is thorough and not rushed. When it comes to choosing a frame Nick already had some in mind for me, and independently I had been looking at the same. I have opted to take advantage of the "EyeCare" monthly payment which covers the costs of future eye tests, offers discounts on glasses purchased, and allows me to split the cost of glasses interest free. I have not heard of any other opticians offering anything similar, so this alone is a great reason to use Clapham Optical. I have my second pair of Etnia frames with Seiko lenses now, they have a fantastic anti glare coating that is the best I have ever had for night driving, and as a bonus feature they have a slight gold sheen to the lens that compliments the design of the Etnia Vintage frame. I will be going back for a second pair of Etnia as prescription sunglasses ready for Summer and Nick has offered to see if he can get some prescription lenses for a pair of Oakleys i already own. I really cannot fault the quality of the products supplied, and most importantly for me the customer service. For eye care i feel it is critical to have someone that you trust and who shows a high level of expertise. Still using Nick and the guys following the merge with Leightons. Most recently had two pairs of Cutler and Gross made up for me. In spite the fact that they are not kept in store. They were able ot find them within the network and even helped find a second set that worked well with my eye colour.

The team at Clapham Optical are exceptional - friendly, professional and a pleasure to deal with. Laura's eye assessment and interpersonal skills are a delight and a credit to her profession. Nick's patience knows no bounds and over many years his advice with picking out new glasses has always been spot on! Would highly recommend this business if you are looking for a personalised, local optical service that is prepared to go the extra mile for their customers.

I picked up my fabulous new glasses today from Clapham Optical. The Service is second to none at this friendly professional business. I would highly recommend this independent optician after a few years of using a well know high street chain who can't offer the same level of customer care and high quality products. I have experienced many different opticians, including high street chains, however Clapham have excelled themselves. I have always had great service from every one at Clapham's nothing is too much trouble. The eyewear range is huge and the advice given was superb eventually decided on Raen glasses which didn't disappoint great quality hence now having 3 pairs. I had an issue with the last pair of glasses which was a manufacturing issue which is unusual with Raen glasses but was dealt with really quickly and a replacement ordered without any issues. I recently purchased glasses from Clapham Optical and I cannot praise enough the impressive customer experience and quality and speed of service I experienced. The team were amazing. I love my glasses or at least I did until I recently broke them during CV19. I called the shop without leaving a message and with no expectation of a call back - but I got one! Not only did I get a call, but thanks to Nick my glasses were repaired with new parts within days, and at a very reasonable price. Having used a large High Street opticians for years I can honestly say my return to an independent family run business who values it's customers, has made me realise what I've been missing out on! If you want to support an independent business who takes pride in the quality of the products and service it offers then give it a go!

I have been a customer at Clapham Optician for many years and have always received a very professional and friendly service. I did go to another optician for a short period of time as it was closer to where I lived, I did not get the same level of service and soon went back. Since Mr Clapham retired his son Nick Clapham and his team continues this high quality service. I have recently purchased a pair of glasses and the fit and vision are perfect.
