From entering the hospital every aspect was extremely smooth and simple. The three nurses Joe, Jane and Joan took care of me and explained all aspects of the procedures in a most professional manner. Dr Creswell put me completely at ease when i entered the operating room and the complete team were terrific. Finally I should add that Professor Andy Luff from the initial consultation through to the operation was caring, professional and a terrific surgeon.

I had suffered with floaters in both eyes for many years and was told by the NHS that nothing could be done. This is just not true! After a chance remark with a friend, I sought a consultation with Professor Luff at the Nuffield Hospital. He advised a cataract operation, combined with a vitrectomy. He also advised having a galaxy lens implant which gives enhanced vision. I had never heard of the galaxy lens, or a vitrectomy (I'm not good at Internet investigations). The operations were done a fortnight apart so within a month (and a final checkup) I am absolutely thrilled with the result. Each operation took only 45 minutes with no pain at all and only mild discomfort for a couple of days after the operation. Clear instructions were given as to post-op procedures at home. I am now free of contact lenses, can see distances clearly and more importantly, for me, can read close up and use a laptop without continually trying to focus with huge floaters in my eyes. I am astonished and thrilled with the difference this has made to my life. I wish I had had the sense to investigate this years ago. The care given by Professor Luff and his staff was second to none. I recommend the Nuffield hospital - all my questions were answered quickly and the administration department very efficient. If you have any reservations, my advice would be 'JUST DO IT!'.

Since the very beginning, Mr Rogers showed great professionalism, knowledge and kindness. Throughout my entire journey, he was always available to answer any queries. I felt at ease since the very start and the surgery with him and his care team went perfectly. I'm also very pleased with the after care I received and with the results of the operation. I highly recommend and Sapphire Eye Care, you won't be disappointed.

Superb care and attention by all the staff involved from beginning to end of the procedure.My initial anxiety was completely unfounded as Mr Luff and his team put me at my ease immediately.Minimal discomfort experienced and dedicated nursing care from start to finish.Enjoyed tea and sandwiches at end too ! Follow up check call also much appreciated.
