Booking an appointment for my audiology appointment was easy. On arrival I waited no longer than 5 minutes before I was called in. The audiologist was very informative and let me know what was going to be happening. She was very reassuring and after the test I felt my concerns had been fully listened to and taken seriously. She put me at ease and I was very happy with my result.
I went into specsavers earlier this week and was completely ignored, the staff saw me walk in and just blanked me. I came in to get update my driving glasses and was pretty disgusted with what I heard, the staff members were discussing what they did on the weekend in a loud and very unprofessional manner (I thought it walked into a children's playground) the language they were using was awful I could hear it as soon as I walked in. After about 5/10minutes of being there I left. I went round to scrivens round the corner and was greeted my excellent customer service and they couldnt do enough to help me out, will be going there from now on, if I could leave a minus rating I would. Absolutely abysmal
Every staff member in the shop appeared polite, in good spirits, efficient and professional. I was made to feel important, and every part of the visit from the eye test to picking my glasses to finalising were explained thoroughly to me as we went along. Thank you to all the team at hythe.
Excellent and prompt customer service, making my daughter feel comfortable and settled during the eye test and fitting new glasses. She loves her new glasses! Thanks to all the team at Hythe specsavers!
The staff in the store are so helpful and knowledgable, and go that extra mile to satisfy their customers. I was even seen 20 minutes early for my appointment today because they were able to accomodate me to save me hanging about. That was nice and thoughtful.
I have never had a pair of glasses supposedly fixed like this. I was told one side the screw was jammed so it wouldn't come out (But it did) and the other side a screw was put in with the thread sticking out at least 20mm which was very dangerous. I then went from Hythe to Lymington specsavers and the staff were lovely and fixed them properly for me. Never again would I go back to specsavers Hythe
Unfortunately there's no 0 stars available to give, I had an eye test and chose some new work safety glasses which are varifocal, when they arrived I told them I couldn't read out of them, unless I put what I was reading about 6" from my face, so they got me to come back in the next weekend and have another eye test with the same person who made some amendments. When the 2nd pair came back, I still couldn't read out of them. This happened 4 times so I then went to a different Specsavers and they told me straight away the problem was the reading section of my glasses were to strong and that's why I was having to hold it 6" from my face. I had told hythe branch when I had my eye test that I read at arms length. So the Manageress emailed the Hythe Manageress and told her she needed to reduce the 2 reading section down to 1.5, this was done and I can now read from them but it was the fact I had to basically sort it myself, if I hadn't gone to another Specsavers I probably still be holding everything 6" to read it. Now 11 months later I popped in to ask for my prescription as I need to get some new decent glasses. It was the Manageress who served me, when I asked if my prescription had been amended for the reading section, she told me it had been done, she had made sure of it due to the issues with the safety glasses. So I took my prescription and left, when I got home I didn't see any where in the prescription that said 1.5, but not knowing how to read an eye test prescription I popped back in with my safety glasses and prescription and was served by a young gentleman who straight away said the prescription is wrong, it still says 2 for the reading section but on your glasses I can see there 1.5. He then said they can't just change it, it has to be done by the optician who does the eye test, and the only way for my prescription to be amended would to have another eye test first. This was done my a young lady who pulled an extendable arm out on the eye test machine for reading at arms length, which I didn't even know it did that, because it wasn't done 11 months ago by the guy who did them tests, she said she was very happy to change my prescription to 1.5 and also would make a note on my records that I read at arms length. Much more training needed by certain floor staff and most definitely the Manageress. I did put in an official complaint, but it goes to the branch Manager/Manageress of the branch your complaining about, they are ment to respond but I've never received an email back.
Nice team, no waiting. Very good explanation on my new lense required. Detailed appointment, no faults. Great optometrist, nice lady.
