Service and support has been consistent from this store. Today a lovely woman called Jo went above and beyond, and helped fix a set of frames. While giving me some advice on some specific glasses that I'll be sure to purchase from them next time. Thank you Jo, and the rest of the Southport optician team.

From start to finish I was very happy with my appointment. Very friendly front of house staff. Ian Marshall was a very thorough opitcian. All in all, I was very happy.

I have hesitated in writing this review because it is critical, not of this organisation, but of a member of staff. I went to Asda Opticians for an eye test, having heard of their great value for money. On the day of my appointment I was greeted by a very pleasant member of staff who took all the relevant details and did the first part of my eye test -- the bit where they blow a puff of air into your eye. So far so good. I was then introduced to William, who was to do the main part of the test... On asking my job -- largely with respect to whether I look at a screen all day -- I was soon to learn that William is a patronising mansplainer, with an unpleasant disposition. I have been a forensic scientist and expert witness for 23 years and I do not take kindly to mansplainers. It took very little time at all for me to be irked by William's instruction on how to do my job, and the research methods I should be using for the doctoral research I am currently completing. Having not picked up on my displeasure at this cringe-making conversation, I eventually resorted to suggesting that we agree to differ and get on with my eye test. The eye test itself took very little time at all compared to previous eye tests I have had and I was not filled with confidence. By this point, eager to make my frame selection and get out of there, I did just that. There is a decent selection of frames at various prices and I had no issues finding what I wanted. The follow up in collecting my glasses was absolutely fine. I am happy with them and the price I paid, but I will think twice about going back due to this experience.

Excellent service, The optician was very thorough and I didn't feel rushed at all. I then went and picked my glasses and even though it was really busy, the assistant, Joseph, was very helpful and knowledgable and explained things very well.

Disappointing experience today. Staff turning up late as we were first appointment and not much of an apology from anyone. The optition was there but coundnt/wouldnt do anything till staff arrived. Asked for phone call as I would be instore was just grabbing some pjs. sadly didn't get a call and returned to another customer who had then been placed in front of us and we had to wait even longer. Staff are not child friendly even after being informed she hadn't had an eye test befor and was nervous. No one spoke about what was going to happen or what to expect. Wont be returning much room for improvement.

Went yesterday optician was rude and patronising never again will.i go back there. Didn't do full eye test guessed my prescription for contact lenses which is a joke. Wasted a whole morning should.of gone else where.
