One of the best things we have ever done is change from a large corporate opticians to Aucklands Opticians in Horbury. The staff are so helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. Judith, the Optician, is so lovely. She is professional, thorough, listens and explains everything clearly. There is no "hard sell", just honest, sensible advice and there is a wide price range of glasses to choose from, if required. I cannot recommend this opticians highly enough.

Very poor. Our family been customers for decades. Opticians service brilliant.
Some other staff not so good. After waiting a month for new spectacles I had a belittling and patronising call saying there would be another month delay because I had asked for smaller frame. No such thing or contact since my order. Totally untrue, but he insisted I was at fault. I was spoken down to and humiliated. They won't see me again

I have had a very painful eye condition over Christmas and I have been treated with kindness and care beyond measure. This opticians have gone above and beyond to look after me when I am sure they would rather have been doing other things and even when they should officially have been closed. I am very grateful for their skill and clinical ability, which was fantastic but I am especially grateful for their kindness and care going the extra mile and then some when it would have been so much easier not to have. Used Aucklands since 2002. Before that used Specsavers who are cheaper, but you get what you pay for and with Auckland the service is very good, they're friendly, and when they've done your eye test you feel confident they will have missed nothing as they take the time needed to do it properly.
Any necessary repairs/adjustments are usually done immediately and the choice of frames etc is very good. Overall can't fault them.
