Excellent experience. Mark is an excellent optician, very friendly and welcoming, clearly explains everything he is doing, the reasons why and what to expect. My husband and I attended together, I've been wearing glasses for over 40 years and this is the best experience I have had. My husband is very nervous and Mark put him at ease. Practice Manager Elaine was very welcoming from the moment we arrived and was so helpful in helping us pick glasses and explaining different lens and price options. Would definitely recommend and will be back again next year

This is by far the best opticians I've been to - I've tried all the big chains and none of them have ever provided a service as good as Wakefield Bayfields. All the staff are incredibly kind and helpful, and helped me master wearing contacts after years of trying! They give accurate eye examinations and corrected my prescription I had been incorrectly prescribed by a different opticians.

In particular Mark who fitted me for my 1st ever contact lenses several years ago, this process took a number of months and different lenses before I found the correct fit. I would also mention Jane who is always a friendly face and very professional in all interactions I have had with her.

Every interaction is professional with a perfect personal touch to ensure that you know exactly what you need, how to manage it all and feel comfortable in the knowledge that they are only a phone call away to help should you need it. I am delighted with both my contact lens care and my glasses (and sunglasses) and have even found the helpful tips with the multi-focal lenses helped me get to grips with those new glasses quickly. At 51, this was my first ever eye test and found the whole experience to be a totally positive and quite enjoyable one. The staff were professional, courteous, patient and very friendly. Everything was clearly explained to me in a jargon free and non-condescending way and my eye care was paramount rather than an exercise in trying to sell me the most expensive thing they could. Something I have encountered with other opticians when taking my son. I can highly recommend Bayfields. They were excellent
