JR Morton Opticians - Wakefield

I've been a highly delighted customer for around 15 yrs .Always been treated with dignity , professionalism and kindness . Gavin is so thorough never feel rushed and is always willing to answer any questions I have to say I'm on cloud 9 at the moment as Gavin referred me for cateract surgery to Spamedica which was a success and after my follow up appointments I've got a new prescription for glasses that I only wear from time to time .I can't thank him enough. I would also like to mention Lesley who has always helped me choose my previous spectacles she is always so friendly and nothing is too much trouble always making sure they fit and look right I recommend this independent family opticians who genuinely care about us. Thank you

I have been going to Mortons opticians for the last 35 years and I have never had any issues. Both Donna and Leslie are lovely and helpful and Gavin is a great optician. He is always thorough and I have also started taking my son who is 6. Gavin is great with children and explains what he is doing during the examination

I recently had the most fantastic service. A proper "old fashioned" Wakefield business, the receptionist knew everyone's name as they came and went and were really helpful and friendly, the optician spent ages with me, as I'd been having problems with my prescription from a previous optician and then they patiently helped me pick out my glasses. They did an awesome job. They also have loads of frames to choose from. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

I used to think this was the best opticians in Wakey until yesterdays visit when I received a rather arsy attitude from Gavin, he refused to change/reduce my prescription when I'd made it clear the only prescription he's ever made me, is too powerful to the extent there giving me headaches and felt I would benefit from a milder prescription but he didn't care and sent me off very unhappy. I then went straight to another opticians were thier happy to reduce them :)

I've been going to Mortons opticians for well over 30yrs cannot praise them enough. A proper optician also the receptionist are so lovely.

They were the only opticians who showed interest when I had a small bleed in my eye during the covid. Very pleased with the service.
